The sporty collection gets a trio of elegant new colors
After a successful Watches and Wonders event with their new releases, Parmigiani Fleurier continues to captivate watch enthusiasts by renewing the Toric collection, the first watch designed by the founder, Mr. Parmigiani Michel, marking his inaugural release. The brand also unveiled an array of timepieces, including the new Tonda PF Skeleton in Platinum and the new Tonda PF Micro-Rotor without a date display.
Now, Parmigiani comes back with three new releases to join the Tonda PF Sport Chronograph collection. These three new luxury sport watches feature elegant dial variants in Milano Blue, London Grey, and Arctic Blue.
The new watches are encased in the same polished and satin-finished stainless steel case, featuring a distinctive knurled bezel famous for the Tonda collection, which sometimes comes in platinum but not in these models. The case measures 42 mm in diameter and 12.9 mm in thickness. A screwed-in crown with a diameter of 6.5 mm ensures a secure fit, while the ARunic anti-reflective sapphire glass offers crystal-clear visibility. The case back, crafted from sapphire glass, reveals the intricate workings of the movement, accompanied by an engraving that includes the serial number, “PARMIGIANI FLEURIER,” and the impressive “36,000 Alt/h” designation. With a water resistance of 100 meters.
The dial of this exquisite timepiece comes in a choice of three color combinations, while the main dial coms in silver color with a clou triangulaire guilloché finish, It is a guilloché pattern similar to the "Clou de Paris", but the shape of the pyramid here is triangular, unlike the first, which is quadrangular. The flange surrounded the dial and the subdials comes in Milano blue or London grey, or Arctic grey.
Hand-applied 18-carat gold rhodium-plated indices with black luminescent coating serve as indices, ensuring legibility in any light. The hour and minute hands are crafted from 18-carat gold, rhodium-plated, and skeletonized in a delta shape with black luminescent coating. Complementing these are rhodium-plated steel hands for the chronograph and small seconds, maintaining a cohesive and elegant design.
Exposed under the transparent case back is the automatic caliber PF070,made in house and its COSC-certified. This integrated chronograph movement boasts a robust power reserve of 65 hours and operates at a high frequency of 36,000 vibrations per hour (5 Hz).
Comprising 315 components, including 42 jewels, this caliber showcases an impressive total diameter of 30.6 mm and a slim thickness of 6.95 mm. The movement's aesthetics are enhanced by satin-finished open-worked bridges with hand-bevelled edges, and a stunning 22-carat rose gold oscillating weight, which is skeletonized, polished, and sandblasted, adding a luxurious touch to this watch.
The Parmigiani Fleurier Tonda PF Sport Chronograph is paired with a rubber strap available in Milano Blue, Arctic Grey, or London Grey, perfectly complementing the dial options. The strap is secured with a stainless steel folding clasp. These three watches will join the permanent line, priced at EUR 31,400, which is equivalent to 125,000 AED.
