Introducing Girard-Perregaux Unveils the “Baguette Diamond” and “Sapphire Gradient” Editions

Two Additions to the Laureato 38 mm Collection Showcasing the Maison’s Expertise in Gem-Setting

Girard-Perregaux expands its Laureato 38 mm collection with the introduction of two dazzling new models: the Baguette Diamond and Sapphire Gradient editions. These timepieces exemplify the Maison’s renowned watchmaking expertise, while celebrating the refined artistry of Métiers d’Art—most notably, the intricate craft of gem-setting.

The Laureato’s iconic octagonal bezel becomes a radiant stage for these latest creations: one adorned with brilliant baguette-cut diamonds, the other with a captivating gradient of blue sapphires and diamonds. This elegant embellishment extends to the dials, which, while both showcasing the signature clous de Paris guilloché motif, are each crafted from distinct materials that enhance their unique character.

The latest Laureato 38 mm models are housed in the signature stainless steel case, distinguished by its polished and satin-brushed surfaces. Measuring 38 mm in diameter and 10.02 mm in thickness, the case preserves the iconic octagonal bezel positioned atop a raised circular base. It also offers a water resistance of 100 meters.

The collection includes two variations: one with a bezel set with 32 custom-made baguette-cut diamonds, and the other featuring a gradient composition of brilliant-cut diamonds and blue sapphires.

The Sapphire Gradient edition showcases a bezel adorned with 10 brilliant-cut diamonds (~0.177 ct) and 46 brilliant-cut blue sapphires (~0.798 ct), for a total of approximately 0.975 carats. The design creates a striking gradient effect, transitioning from lighter sapphires near 6 o’clock to darker tones near 12 o’clock, with diamonds placed adjacent to 6 o’clock. Varying stone sizes accentuate the octagonal shape of the bezel.

The Baguette Diamond edition features 32 custom-cut baguette diamonds, totaling approximately 3 carats, offering a radiant and luxurious interpretation of the Laureato’s iconic design.

The dials maintain the collection’s hallmark Clous de Paris motif, comes in white gold for the Baguette Diamond edition, and a rhodium-plated for the Sapphire Gradient. the same for the indices hands and GP logo which comes even in white gold or rhodium plated coating, the baton-style hands are coated with white lumens material. The date window at 3 o'clock and inner flange are color-matched to the dial, ensuring a cohesive design.

Featuring the self-winding Caliber GP03300, both timepieces offer a glimpse of their inner workings through a transparent caseback, revealing a wealth of intricate details. The main plate is adorned with circular graining, while various components exhibit bevelling, mirror polishing, satin finishingsnailing. The bridges are embellished with straight Côtes de Genève, and the pink gold oscillating weight is adorned with perlage. With a power reserve of at least 46 hours.

Paired with an Integrated stainless steel bracelet, for the prices USD 52,200 which is equivalent to 192,000 AED for the Baguette Diamond edition USD 20,100 which is equivalent to 73,800 AED for the Sapphire Gradient edition.
