The famous Tiffany hue adorns the iconic Daytona
Rolex has once again taken center stage at Watches and Wonders 2025 with a slew of new releases, but one of the most eye-catching updates is the bold new dial for the iconic Cosmograph Daytona. The Rolex Daytona Ref. 126518LN now features a striking turquoise blue lacquer dial “Tiffany blue”, previously seen in the Oyster Perpetual 31, 36, and the discontinued 41.
The case remains consistent with its predecessors, measuring 40mm in diameter and 11.9mm thick. Crafted from 18K yellow gold, it features a black Cerachrom monobloc bezel with a tachymetric scale, where the graduations and numerals are coated in yellow gold PVD. The watch maintains its robust 100-meter water resistance, achieved through a screw-down crown and pushers.
The highlight of this model is undoubtedly its dial. The turquoise blue lacquer base is accentuated by bright black subdials, creating a striking contrast. The indices and hands, crafted from 18K yellow gold, are filled with Rolex’s Chromalight luminescent material, ensuring a long-lasting blue glow in low-light conditions. The signature “Daytona” text in red sits above the 6 o’clock subdial.
Powering the watch is the in-house Calibre 4131, an automatic chronograph movement featuring a vertical clutch and column wheel. It operates at a frequency of 28,800 vph (4Hz) and offers a 72-hour power reserve.
The timepiece is fitted with a black Oysterflex strap, secured with an 18K yellow gold Oysterlock folding clasp. It also features Rolex’s Glidelock extension system, allowing for easy adjustments of up to 15mm. The new Daytona 126518LN joins the permanent collection and is priced at CHF 34,700, approximately AED 145,000.
