Introducing The New Habring² Oskar Collection with a Moon Phase Complication

An elegant trio with classic dials celebrating the indie brand's 20th anniversary

Habring² is an independent brand founded in 2004 by Austrian couple Richard and Maria Habring, renowned for crafting technically advanced timepieces featuring their own mechanical movements. This year, as the brand celebrates its 20th anniversary, it is debuting the new Oskar collection, described as a matured version of their iconic Felix. The collection includes three variants: two featuring date and moon phase complications, and a third showcasing only a moon phase display.

All three models in the collection feature a 38.5 mm case composed of three parts, with a thickness of 9 mm (10 mm when including the domed sapphire crystal). Crafted from 316L stainless steel, the case showcases a combination of brushed and polished finishes. The case also includes a sapphire crystal caseback, adding both durability and elegance.

The first variant features a glossy lacquered metal dial with a moon phase and small seconds sub-dial at 6 o'clock, paired with polished blued hands. The second variant offers a similar glossy lacquered dial, but with rhodium-plated numerals, also displaying the moon phase and small seconds at the same position, along with the addition of a pointer date. The final variant shares the same display as the second but stands out with a blue galvanized metal dial. All variants are distinguished by their Breguet-style numerals.

The trio is powered by Habring²’s signature A11 caliber, a hand-wound movement that operates at 28,800 vph (4Hz) and offers a 48-hour power reserve. It features an anti-magnetic escapement with a Carl Haas hairspring of chronometer quality, a German company that specializes in precision engineering of wire and strip and for plastic composites. Each watch is paired with a leather strap and steel pin buckle, with an option for a beads-of-rice steel bracelet.

In terms of pricing, the variant with only the moon phase is priced at EUR 6,050 / AED 24,300, while the version featuring both the moon phase and a pointer date is priced at EUR 6,950 / AED 27,900.
