The Sleek Design of the Streamliner collection with rare Jade stone dial
Inspired by the sleek lines and dynamic forms of high-speed trains from the 1920s and 1930s, the Streamliner collection seamlessly blends minimalist aesthetics with contemporary elegance. The integrated steel bracelet served as a muse for the design, resulting in a timepiece that harmoniously bridges the past, present, and future, as stated by Edouard Meylan, CEO of H. Moser & Cie.
Introduced in 2020, the Streamliner series offers a distinctive interpretation of the luxury sports watch with an integrated bracelet, featuring a diverse lineup. The latest addition to this collection is the Streamliner Small Seconds Blue Enamel watch, unveiled during Dubai Watch Week. This timepiece showcases an Aqua Blue Grand Feu Enamel finish.
The Streamliner Tourbillon Wyoming Jade features the signature 40mm Art Deco-inspired case and integrated bracelet, meticulously crafted from 5N red gold. With a height of 12.1mm, including the slightly domed sapphire crystal, and a screw-in crown adorned with an engraved M, the watch offers both practicality and elegance with a water-resistance rating of 120 meters.
The jade used on the dial of the Streamliner Tourbillon Wyoming Jade is sourced from Wyoming, USA, and is a 100% natural stone from a pure and preserved source. This decorative stone is celebrated in the model as the embodiment of refined sophistication, understated modernity, and timeless elegance. The dial, free of logos and adorned with three indices, offers an unobstructed view of the 60-second flying tourbillon positioned at 6 o'clock under skeletonized bridges.
The manufacturing process for the jade dials involves a marriage of traditional craftsmanship and modern technology. Starting with the meticulous selection of raw material, each piece of jade is chosen for its inherent quality and beauty. Precision cutting using CNC technology in a liquid environment results in slices of jade measuring 1 to 1.2 mm thick. These slices are then carefully laid out on jigs, wetted, and inspected for optimal positioning before cutting the dials.
The dial features slim red gold baton-shaped indices, with a single marker at 3 and 9, and a double marker at 12. The hour and minute hands are equipped with luminous Globolight inserts. Through the transparent sapphire crystal case back, the automatic HMC 804 caliber is visible, powering the Streamliner Tourbillon Concept Wyoming Jade. This movement is equipped with a double hairspring designed and produced in-house by H. Moser & Cie.'s sister company Precision Engineering AG. which is an independent subsidiary of the Moser Watch Holding group, and produces escapement components for sister brands H. Moser & Cie. and Hautlence, The paired hairsprings correct the movement of the point of gravity, reducing friction.
The new H. Moser & Cie. Streamliner Tourbillon Wyoming Jade comes with a red gold bracelet and is secured with a three-blade folding clasp in matching 5N red gold, engraved with the Moser logo. The watch is a limited edition of 100 pieces priced at CHF 109,000, which is equivalent to 464,000 AED.
