Introducing Seiko Unveils Two New Presage Cocktail Time STAR BAR Editions

Gradient dials inspired by the enchanting allure of Tokyo's lively nightlife

The Presage collection has long been known for its unique blend of Japanese aesthetic sensibilities, traditional craftsmanship, and Seiko's renowned mechanical watchmaking expertise. Since its debut in 2016, the collection has grown significantly, featuring a variety of stunning timepieces, including the recently launched Urushi GMT. Now, Seiko has taken its creativity a step further by partnering with STAR BAR, one of Tokyo's most famous bars. Together with its owner, Hisashi Kishi—the first bartender to be awarded Japan’s prestigious “Contemporary Master Craftsman” title—Seiko introduces two new Presage Cocktail Time watches inspired by the captivating beauty of Tokyo's vibrant nightlife.

The watch is available in two sizes: a 40.5mm variant with a thickness of 11.8mm and a more compact 30.3mm version with an 11mm thickness. Both models are crafted from stainless steel and feature a box-shaped Hardlex crystal. Notably, the smaller variant's inner surface is adorned with multiple facets, evoking the brilliance of Tokyo's skyscrapers and adding an elegant, glamorous finish. The case back of the larger model is transparent, while the smaller variant is engraved with the words “Limited Edition” along with the serial number. Each watch is presented in a special limited-edition box.

The dial’s intricate pattern and the subtle gray gradation, which lightens toward the center, create a striking contrast with the gold-toned hands, indexes, and the date window frame, capturing the stunning nightscape of Tokyo with its countless high-rise buildings.

The larger variant is powered by Seiko's in-house automatic calibre 4R35, offering a 41-hour power reserve and operating at a frequency of 21,600 vph (3Hz). On the other hand, the smaller version is equipped with the calibre 2R05, another in-house automatic movement that provides a 40-hour power reserve while maintaining the same operating frequency as the 4R35.

The larger variant is limited to 9,000 pieces and is priced at EUR 560 / AED 2,300, while the smaller variant is limited to 6,000 pieces and priced at EUR 660 / AED 2,700. Both models come with a stainless steel bracelet, featuring a deployment clasp with a push-button release for added convenience and security.
