A One-of-a-Kind Timepiece Set for Auction in Support of Clean Water Initiatives
H. Moser & Cie. introduces a one-of-a-kind timepiece from its renowned Streamliner Cylindrical Tourbillon Skeleton Alpine collection. This unique creation, crafted in collaboration with Best Water Technology (BWT), supports AQUA PEARLS, a private non-profit foundation dedicated to providing clean drinking water worldwide. More than just a watch, it is a call to action, with the auction running from March 12 to March 22.
The company introduced the idea of this unique piece when it launched the limited-edition "Alpine Pink" last year.
The watch retains the collection's iconic cushion-shaped case, crafted from stainless steel with a blue DLC treatment. H. Moser & Cie. explains, "This particular shade of blue isn't just an aesthetic choice; it's meant to symbolize the purity of water." The design also incorporates a striking blend of blue and pink accents, representing the two partners involved: BWT and the BWT Alpine Formula One Team.
Measuring 42.3mm in diameter and 14mm in thickness (with a height of 11.0mm excluding the domed sapphire crystal), the case is a refined combination of brushed and polished finishes. A sapphire crystal caseback offers a clear view of the movement, while the watch is water-resistant to 120 meters.
The openworked dial showcases exquisitely finished bridges and a small sub-dial at 12 o’clock, featuring a translucent domed base for hours and minutes. Crafted from pink corundum, a crystalline form of aluminum oxide (Al₂O₃) and one of the hardest minerals, the sub-dial echoes the same synthetic ruby material used in watch jewels, which reduces friction in mechanical movements.
Positioned at 6 o’clock, the one-minute flying tourbillon is a striking feature with its cylindrical hairspring, fitted with a blue cage bridge that matches the hands. Legibility is ensured thanks to Super-LumiNova-coated indices and Globolight inserts on the hour and minute hands.
The watch is powered by the HMC 811 manufacture caliber, an automatic movement with a bidirectional skeletonized gold rotor, beating at 21,600vph (3Hz), and offering 74 hours of power reserve. The watch is paired with a pink rubber strap, and has a stainless steel folding clasp.
The auction is structured to maximize the benefit to the AQUA PEARLS Foundation. Hosted on The Auction Collective platform, bidding begins on March 12 at 11:00 AM CET and concludes on March 22 at 4:00 PM CET, coinciding with World Water Day.
The winning bidder not only acquires a unique timepiece but also has the opportunity to personalize it. They can choose a small domed dial in blue, opt for a blue rubber strap, or select a pink camo rubber strap. To ensure that the entire winning bid goes directly to the cause, H. Moser & Cie. will cover the usual 9% commission fee charged by the auction platform.
