Introducing Longines Unveils New References for the Conquest Collection’s 70th Anniversary

Different case sizes, dial colors, and strap options

Although the Longines Conquest name dates back to 1954, the modern version embodies the brand’s vision of an everyday, versatile watch. Combining robustness with casual elegance, it was fully revamped in 2023, becoming more appealing and adaptable than ever. Now, as the Conquest Collection celebrates its 70th anniversary this year, the Conquest name grows again with the addition of new chronograph colors and sizes, including a 38 mm model.

Longines Conquest Chronograph 42mm

The case, made of stainless steel, measures 42mm in diameter and 14.3mm in thickness. It is water-resistant up to 100 meters, similar to the other models in the collection, and features a screw-down crown. The fixed bezel with white tachymetre comes with a black, blue, or green ceramic insert, depending on the model.

The three new references include two brand-new variations. These new models feature silver matte dials with green or blue accents. Additionally, there is a stunning reference with a yellow gold dial and stark black contrasts, now available on a rubber strap for a more sporty look.

Under the sapphire caseback is the automatic caliber L898.5, based on the ETA 2892 chronograph caliber, with a 4Hz beat rate and a power reserve of 59 hours. The watch is priced at EUR 4,200, equivalent to 16,500 AED.

Longines Conquest 38mm

The 38mm models are arguably the simplest in the new collection, being essentially smaller versions of the previously available 41mm models. Although they remain 10.9mm thick, their 38mm diameter gives them a unique wrist presence. This case showcases an appealing interplay between brushed and polished surfaces. The sloped steel bezel imparts a distinct character to the watch, while the elegant crown guards add an extra layer of protection and style. These elements contribute to the timepiece's 100m water resistance.

These models come with silver, green, black, blue, or beige dials featuring sunburst finishes and applied indices that complement the polished hands.

Powering the watches is the Longines L888 movement, the same used in the 41mm collection launched last year. This updated variant of the ETA A31.L11 automatic movement comes with a reduced frequency of 25,200 vibrations per hour (vph) and a monocrystalline silicon balance spring, enhancing the overall accuracy of the timepiece. The power reserve has also been improved, now offering a generous 72-hour autonomy. The rotor, embellished with the brand name and logo,a Côtes de Genève and perlage finishing, giving the movement a touch of refined aesthetics. The watches are priced at EUR 2,300, equivalent to 9,000 AED.

The color options include green, black, baby blue, gold, fuchsia, and marshmallow pink. Some models are all steel, while others are bi-color options with 18k rose gold bezels. All of them feature beautiful sunray finishes. Additionally, there is a white dial made of mother-of-pearl with diamond indices. the case still provide 100 m of water resistance.

As the thickness remains the same as in previous editions at 38 mm, we can understand why this 34 mm edition uses the same caliber L888.

Each of the new models is available either with a steel bracelet or a color-matched rubber strap, with the exception of the mother-of-pearl, diamond-set model which is only available with a rubber strap. Prices start at CHF 1,950, equivalent to 8,000 AED.
