Elevating calendar complications with the first mechanical planner watch
Krayon is a young Swiss watch brand founded by watchmaker Rémi Maillat in 2013. In just over a decade, it has firmly established its name in haute horlogerie. What sets Krayon apart is its deep-rooted philosophy of merging artistic elegance with mechanical ingenuity, crafting timepieces that translate complex astronomical and calendar-based calculations into wearable form, most notably seen in Krayon’s sunrise-and-sunset complication. This year, the brand is launching the Anyday, the first mechanical planner watch.
Krayon has once again redefined the boundaries of haute horology with the introduction of the Anyday. This groundbreaking timepiece takes the concept of calendar complications to an entirely new level, offering a seamless, at-a-glance view of an entire month that rolls forward continuously, year after year, without the need for technical intervention. Unlike conventional calendar watches, the Anyday presents an intuitive layout that allows the wearer to grasp their entire schedule with a single glance.
Following the success of the Everywhere and Anywhere models, which focused on the natural rhythms of day and night, Krayon now shifts its focus to something profoundly practical: the mastery of time management. Traditional calendar watches often require manual adjustments, but the Anyday eliminates this hassle by automatically transitioning from one month to the next. While it follows a 31-day cycle, minor adjustments are needed only five times a year for months with fewer days.
Encased in 18K white gold, the watch measures a refined 39mm in diameter and maintains a slim profile at just 9.5mm thick. The watch features sapphire crystals on both the front and caseback. The crown is designed for effortless interaction, allowing manual winding in its first position. The second position enables quick adjustments: turning clockwise advances the date, while counterclockwise sets the day of the week. In its third position, the wearer can adjust the time in both directions.

The blue dial showcases a meticulous guilloché pattern featuring Krayon’s signature “Y” motif. The calendar display has weekdays marked in navy blue and weekends subtly distinguished in a different shade. To further enhance its intuitive nature, the first few days of the upcoming month are previewed with four discrete markers positioned at 6 o’clock. The dial has a central hour and minute display, with a date display along the periphery, indicated by a moving crescent moon.
The watch is powered by the hand-wound Caliber C032, which beats at a frequency of 21,600 vibrations per hour (3 Hz) and offers a power reserve of 72 hours. The movement features two groundbreaking cams that orchestrate the display with seamless precision. The first cam accumulates energy over 24 hours and releases it instantaneously at midnight, advancing the date in a fraction of a second. Meanwhile, the second cam ensures a smooth transition at the end of each month, effortlessly moving from the 31st to the 1st. This mechanical ingenuity guarantees accuracy and ease of use, eliminating the need for complex interventions or frequent corrections.
The Anyday is paired with a blue grained calfskin strap, secured by an 18K white gold pin buckle. It is priced at CHF 88,000, which is approximately AED 366,500.
