Schaffhausen-based luxury watch manufacturer introduces an upgraded edition of its iconic chronograph
H. Moser & Cie., the renowned Swiss watchmaker, proudly presents the Streamliner Flyback Chronograph Automatic version 2.0. This new iteration builds upon the success of its award-winning predecessor and introduces several noteworthy enhancements, including a transparent lacquer logo on the Funky Blue dial and contemporary finishes on the movement. With this latest release, H. Moser & Cie. reaffirms its commitment to minimalist design, refined elegance, and exceptional craftsmanship.
The Streamliner Flyback Chronograph Automatic made its debut in January 2020 with a groundbreaking virtual launch just before the onset of the global pandemic. Despite the challenging circumstances, the timepiece captivated watch enthusiasts worldwide. Its distinctive cushion-shaped case, integrated bracelet, and meticulous attention to detail quickly established it as a favorite among connoisseurs. The automatic movement, developed in collaboration with Agenhor, showcased unparalleled precision and performance.
The overwhelming demand for the Streamliner Flyback Chronograph Automatic proved to be a pivotal moment for H. Moser & Cie., propelling the brand into an accelerated phase of growth. Originally released as a limited edition of 100 pieces, the chronograph sold out within days. Building on this success, H. Moser & Cie. expanded the Streamliner collection with a three-hand model and a second reference featuring a captivating Funky Blue fumé dial. In subsequent years, the brand introduced the highly acclaimed perpetual calendar and a flying tourbillon with double hairspring, further solidifying its reputation as an innovator in the industry.
Inspired by the sleek lines and dynamic forms of high-speed trains from the 1920s and 1930s, the Streamliner collection harmoniously blends minimalist aesthetics with contemporary elegance. The integrated steel bracelet served as a muse for the design, resulting in a timepiece that seamlessly bridges the past, present, and future. Edouard Meylan, CEO of H. Moser & Cie., remarks, "The Streamliner draws a connection between our rich history spanning nearly 200 years and a promising future. Since acquiring the brand in 2012, our annual production has multiplied fivefold, turnover has increased eightfold, and our profitability as a group significantly surpasses the industry average. While the Streamliner collection has been a driving force, we remain committed to maintaining a balanced portfolio, each line with its distinct personality and characteristics."
The Streamliner Flyback Chronograph Automatic Funky Blue 2.0 represents an evolution of H. Moser & Cie.'s initial chronograph offerings. Retaining the outstanding qualities of its predecessors, this new version introduces subtle updates that reflect the brand's DNA. The transparent lacquer logo, a discreet yet unmistakable signature, graces the Funky Blue fumé dial. By allowing its creations to shine, H. Moser & Cie. ensures that the brand remains synonymous with understated elegance and refined aesthetics. The watch's other features, including water resistance up to 12 ATM and the ability to use the chronograph function both on land and underwater, remain unchanged. Its exquisitely crafted case exhibits harmonious proportions and aerodynamic contours, seamlessly integrating with the stunning integrated steel bracelet.
Underneath the surface, the automatic chronograph boasts an exceptional movement, incorporating a central display and flyback function for minutes and seconds. Developed in collaboration with Agenhor, one of H. Moser & Cie.'s esteemed partner companies, the caliber HMC.
907 showcases a contemporary finish. The traditional Moser stripes, angled at 45 degrees, and the anthracite grey rhodium-plating on the bridges and main plate demonstrate a commitment to both minimalism and legibility. The placement of the oscillating weight between the movement and the dial allows enthusiasts to admire the chronograph's operation and column wheel through the transparent sapphire case-back.
With the Streamliner Flyback Chronograph Automatic version 2.0, H. Moser & Cie. once again exemplifies its distinctive approach to Haute Horlogerie. The brand's unwavering dedication to craftsmanship, coupled with its ability to seamlessly blend heritage and innovation, continues to position H. Moser & Cie. as a leading force in the world of luxury timepieces.
