The Brand's New Accessible Timepiece
It took Greubel Forsey almost two decades to embrace the challenge of creating an entirely new and more accessible timepiece with a distinct identity. To achieve this, the Atelier had to start from scratch, contemplating how to design a timepiece with a comfortable diameter that could accommodate the Atelier Manufacture movement. The goal was to make the piece more affordable while maintaining a 100% hand-finished quality. In 2019, Greubel Forsey introduced the Balancier S, presenting a simpler model that retained shared aesthetics and unmatched craftsmanship. This time-only piece paved the way for subsequent sports-oriented creations, such as the Balancier S2 in 2021. The newest addition to this innovative collection is the Greubel Forsey Balancier 3, a meticulously crafted watch that adheres to the brand's distinctive design and finishing language, touted as more accessible.
This design joins the Convexe collection, the Balancier 3 features the iconic titanium case with a 41.5mm diameter, even slimmer than before. Its lugs no longer have screws a first for Greubel Forsey. The Convexe case is profiled on both the back and display sides, making it truly unique in fine watchmaking. Offering total comfort, the piece naturally follows the curvature of the wrist. On the dial side, the double curvature dips towards each end of the strap.

The timepiece introduced in black or blue variants, the open worked dial characterized by its three hand finishes bridges, the first of which houses the barrel at 5 o’clock, the second for the large balance wheel between 4 and 6 o’clock, and the third, and most striking of all, is attached to the small seconds subdial at 8 o’clock showcasing a fixed red indicator and a rotating satin-finished disc, The curved hour and minute hands are gracefully held by a wide hand-polished bridge with a three-dimensional open-worked design,
The dial presents the iconic Greubel Forsey style, the hour ring with the engraved and lacquered minute track and three-dimensional, Super-LumiNova-treated hour indices.
The curved sapphire caseback unveils finely finished, large plates, including jewels in chatons,The power reserve is shown on the case back for the first time in the Convexe collection. The watch, powered by the hand-wound in-house movement, operates at 21,600 VpH, with a power reserve of 72 hours thanks to two series-coupled fast rotating barrels, one barrel turn in 3.2 hours.
The watch is offered with matching straps crafted from non-animal material and rubber secured by a titanium folding clasp. An optional three-row titanium bracelet with a folding clasp and fine adjustment is also available.
The Greubel Forsey Balancier 3 is a limited edition of 88 pieces and priced at CHF 160,000 which is equivalent to 670,000 AED.
