Introducing Girard-Perregaux Laureato Absolute Aston Martin F1 Edition
Welcome to the hub of the horoloy
The two Companies unite again to celebrate 75 years of Formula 1
Aston Martin Aramco Formula One Team and Girard-Perregaux celebrate the marque’s 75th anniversary by unveiling their latest collaboration: the Laureato Absolute Aston Martin F1 Edition. This new titanium model continues the partnership between the two entities, which began in 2021 and has now resulted in the seventh collaborative edition.
Driven by their relentless pursuit of performance, both brands continuously innovate and draw upon their extensive technical expertise. These shared values are evident in their respective creations—Formula 1®'s cutting-edge racing cars and Haute Horlogerie timepieces. The new model incorporates a racing-inspired green dial and a high-performance in-house manufacture movement, embodying the fusion of motorsport and horology.
The design of the Laureato Absolute Aston Martin F1 Edition immediately reflects its connection to the world of high-speed racing. The dial is finished in Aston Martin Racing Green, a color deeply associated with the British automotive marque’s motorsport heritage. True to the Laureato series, the case balances contrasting shapes and textures, crafted from sandblasted Grade 5 titanium.
Measuring 44mm in diameter and 14.65mm thick, the titanium caseback is engraved with the Aston Martin emblem, further enhancing the watch’s exclusivity and racing pedigree. Water-resistant up to 300 meters.
The Aston Martin Racing Green dial reinforces the automotive theme, featuring partially skeletonized hour and minute hands inspired by the front grille of Aston Martin road cars, such as the iconic DB12. These hands, along with the applied hour indices, are treated with luminescent material for enhanced readability in low-light conditions. The center seconds hand and date display are executed in lime green, a hue that also adorns the Aston Martin Formula One car.
Beneath the solid caseback lies the in-house GP03300 calibre. Crafted at Girard-Perregaux’s production facility in La Chaux-de-Fonds, this self-winding movement is optimally shaped for the Laureato model. Beating at 28,800 vph (4 Hz), it features an oscillating weight adorned with a circular Côtes de Genève motif. Additional movement refinements include straight Côtes de Genève on the bridges, beveling, mirror-polished screws, circular graining on the main plate, and engraved gilded text, all executed to the brand’s uncompromising standards. The movement offers a 46-hour power reserve.
The Laureato Absolute Aston Martin F1 Edition is presented on a green FKM rubber fabric-effect strap, meticulously designed for optimal comfort. FKM rubber was chosen for its superior flexibility, resistance to fading, and enhanced durability compared to conventional rubber. The strap is secured with a titanium folding clasp featuring a micro-adjustment system, allowing for precise fitting and maximum wearability.
Limited to just 88 pieces, the Laureato Absolute Aston Martin F1 Edition is priced at 13,700 CHF, approximately 56,950 AED.
