Bvlgari & MB&F Reimagine the Iconic Serpenti

Collaborations in watchmaking often bring together the creativity of a brand and its chosen partner, whether they be artists, athletes, or designers. However, it’s far rarer to see two well-known watchmaking powerhouses join forces. The partnership between Bvlgari and MB&F is a fascinating case, as both brands serve as creative forces in the industry with anything they put their hands on.

Their latest collaboration, the Bvlgari x MB&F Serpenti, follows their 2021 partnership, which resulted in the MB&F x Bvlgari LM FlyingT Allegra launched at Dubai Watch Week. This time, the two brands reinterpret Bvlgari’s iconic Serpenti through the mechanical artistry of MB&F’s horological machines, merging biomorphic design with high-complication watchmaking in a way that only they can.

Introducing Girard-Perregaux and Aston Martin Unveil the New Laureato Chronograph

For Their 6th Collaboration, A Striking Green Dial Honoring Britain’s Motorsport Heritage

Aston Martin and Girard-Perregaux unveil their latest collaboration: the new Laureato Chronograph Aston Martin Edition. This marks the sixth timepiece born from the partnership between these two luxury brands, which began in 2021. This edition was created from a shared desire to craft a watch that offers a deeply immersive ownership experience.

As seen in their previous collaborations, this new edition is made of titanium, a metal chosen for its significance in mechanical engineering and its lightweight properties, as detailed in our in-depth article on this material. You can also take a look at the previous collaboration between Aston Martin and Girard-Perregaux, embodied in the special edition Neo Bridges.

The new Laureato Chronograph Aston Martin Edition is a true expression of the British marque’s identity, with its dial adorned in green, a color that dates back to 1922 when Aston Martin drivers raced in their nation’s color. In this instance, Girard-Perregaux has reimagined an iridescent shade from Aston Martin’s palette while still paying homage to the marque and its racing heritage.

Housed in the signature case crafted from titanium with polished and satin-finished surfaces, the watch measures 42 mm in diameter and 12.6 mm in thickness. It retains the iconic octagonal bezel atop a raised circular base and offers a water resistance of 100 meters. Sapphire crystal protects both sides, while the case back features a metallized Aston Martin logo.

Green has always been synonymous with British sports cars, adorning iconic Aston Martin models on both road and track over the years and remaining the most popular color choice of the British brand.

The watch features an eye-catching iridescent green dial, as its an automotive grade paint which requires 14 manufacturing steps to complete. The striking hue is achieved by applying 15 ultrathin layers of paint to the dial surface.

The dial is punctuated by three snailed subdials surrounded by silver chapter rings: a small seconds subdial at 3 o’clock, a 12-hour chronograph counter at 6 o’clock, and a 30-minute chronograph counter at 9 o’clock. A white date display is positioned between 4 and 5 o’clock, completing the functional ensemble.

Powered by the self-winding Caliber GP03300, the timepiece offers a glimpse into its intricate mechanics through a transparent case back. The movement showcases refined finishing, including perlage on the main plate, bevelling, mirror polishing, satin finishing, and snailing on various components. The bridges and oscillating weight are adorned with straight Côtes de Genève. The movement beats at 28,800 vph (4 Hz) and provides a power reserve of 46 hours.

The Girard-Perregaux Laureato Chronograph Aston Martin Edition is fitted with a satin-finished and polished integrated titanium bracelet, secured by a triple-folding clasp. It is priced at £9,300, approximately AED 89,150.
