A nautical inspired trio for the Latin American region
Franck Muller, the Swiss watchmaker renowned for its bold designs, introduced the Vanguard collection in 2013. Since then, the brand has expanded the lineup with an array of striking, sporty, and elegant releases, including the recently unveiled Vanguard Slim Night Cut. Following that, the brand is now launching the Vanguard Navy, a trio exclusive to Latin America and the Caribbean. With a maritime-inspired aesthetic, this new series embodies a balance of sportiness, and elegance.
Each model in the Vanguard Navy collection features a tonneau-shaped case measuring 41mm × 49.95mm with a thickness of 12.2mm, ensuring a strong wrist presence, one of the brand’s defining characteristics. The hand-brushed stainless steel case is fitted with a sapphire crystal protecting the dial, and a transparent caseback.
The Vanguard Navy collection comprises three distinct models: Navy Silver, Navy Blue, and Navy Black. Each features a stamped guilloché dial with brushed finishes and layers of protective Zapon varnish. The Arabic numerals are hand-applied, the hands have a luminescent coating for enhanced readability, and we can spot the circular date window at 6 o'clock.
Powering the watch is the automatic MVT 2536-SCDT movement, which operates at a frequency of 28,800 vph (4 Hz) and offers a 42-hour power reserve. The movement is adorned with traditional Swiss finishing techniques, including Côtes de Genève, perlage, beveling, and snailing on the movement components.
