Introducing Fears Unveils the Limited Edition Brunswick 40.5 Jump Hour

British Craftsmanship in a Silver Timepiece Inspired by Edwardian Design

The esteemed British watch brand Fears is set to unveil a remarkable limited edition timepiece for the upcoming British Watchmakers' Day, scheduled for March 8, 2025, at Lindley Hall in London. Organized by the Alliance of British Watch and Clock Makers, this annual event celebrates the craftsmanship and innovation of the British watchmaking industry. The 2025 edition will feature 44 exhibitors, including renowned names such as Bremont, Christopher Ward, and Roger W. Smith.

At last year’s event, Fears introduced the Brunswick 38 '1924 Edition, commemorating the 100th anniversary of the brand's iconic 1924 watch. This year, Fears continues its tradition of honoring British watchmaking heritage with the launch of the Brunswick 40.5 Jump Hour 'Edwardian Edition.'

The Brunswick 40.5 Jump Hour 'Edwardian Edition' maintains the refined design of the stainless steel Brunswick 40.5 Jump Hour but elevates it with a case crafted from hallmarked 925 sterling silver. The 38mm cushion-shaped case features a polished finish, a screw-down solid case back, and a distinctive sterling silver 'onion' crown set with a flawless diamond. The front is protected by a sapphire crystal with ARdur anti-reflective coating on both sides, ensuring clarity. Each piece is individually numbered, with the serial number engraved between the lugs at 12 o’clock.

The dial is a masterpiece of craftsmanship, composed of multiple layers of hand-polished pure white lacquer that create a glossy, deep finish. Manufactured in Germany, the dial exudes a sophistication reminiscent of Edwardian-era pocket watches. The bespoke numerals and the Fears maker’s mark at 12 o’clock faithfully recreate the brand’s early 1900s designs.

As a jump hour watch, the hour is displayed in a window at 12 o’clock on a disc coated in bright white lacquer, eliminating the need for traditional hour numerals. The black PVD-coated minute hand complements the minimalist yet elegant design, ensuring legibility and precision.

Powering the 'Edwardian Edition' is the Swiss-made automatic movement Sellita SW200, the movement is regulated to chronometer-grade accuracy, while the jumping hours mechanism JJ01 is developed in collaboration with British watchmaker Christopher Ward. ensuring exceptional performance. It operates at 28,800 vibrations per hour (4 Hz) and offers a power reserve of 38 hours.

The watch is paired with a handmade Maple Red strap crafted from Alcantara, and a sterling silver pin buckle completes the look.

Limited to just 10 pieces, the Brunswick 40.5 Jump Hour 'Edwardian Edition' is priced at GBP 5,450, approximately AED 24,600.
