Beginning a New Era with Three Collections Inspired by the Company's Rich History
As Geneva Watch Days 2024 commence, Favre Leuba proudly announces its triumphant return, celebrating 287 years of watchmaking excellence. Favre Leuba stands as one of the oldest Swiss watch brands, embodying nearly three centuries of continuous innovation. Established in 1737 following the registration of Abraham Favre as a watchmaker, the brand’s legacy was interrupted when the Favre-Leuba family was forced to sell the company's name in 1985 due to the quartz crisis, which made watch manufacturing increasingly difficult. With a renewed vision and innovative spirit, the brand is set to unveil three stunning new collections that blend heritage with modernity.
Led by industry veteran Patrik Hoffmann, Favre Leuba's revival is driven by seasoned watchmaking experts and significant investments.
Favre Leuba’s re-entry at Geneva Watch Days 2024 is not just a comeback—it’s a celebration of heritage, innovation, and craftsmanship. With 22 new references across three collections.
With a clear, rejuvenated brand identity, Favre Leuba kicks off its return with three new collections—Chief, Deep Blue, and Sea Sky—each rethought by designers Antoine Tschumi and Laurent Auberson. These collections combine new designs and movements, marking the first proof of the brand’s profound transformation.
Chief Collection
The Chief Collection boasts a distinctive aesthetic with a modernized retro look inspired by the 70s, blending tradition and innovation for a contemporary feel. It comprises two sub-collections: the Chief Chronograph (41mm) and the Chief Date (40mm), with 6 new references—3 for each sub-family. Powered by intricately finished movements from Manufacture La Joux-Perret. The Chief Collection is positioned within the 2,300 - 4,375 CHF (9,276 - 17,625 AED) price range.
Chief Chronograph
The Chief Chronograph combines the design elements of the 70s with a contemporary, sporty aesthetic. This timepiece maintains its vintage-inspired charm while incorporating modern updates, making it a sophisticated addition to any collection.
The vintage-inspired ‘cushion’ case accentuates a sport-chic profile with a subtle redesign. Grooves on the flanks flow seamlessly with the pushers, while streamlined lugs evoke compact and fluid aesthetics. Borrowing from its historical predecessor, the ovoid shape enhances the watch’s sporty elegance. Crafted from 316L steel, the 41mm bezel-less case features a circular brush finish on top and a satin-brushed finish on the four facets. With an open case back sapphire crystal, it is water-resistant to 100 meters. Favre Leuba’s hallmark stylized hourglass is featured on the crown.

The eye-catching sunburst dial is available in three color variations: blue, ice blue, and black. Achieving this level of craftsmanship requires over 100 meticulous production steps, creating an impression of depth enhanced by the raised sub-dials at 9 and 3 o’clock. The bi-compax counters provide precise minute and second readings, while a tachymeter scale on the inner flange measures speed. The 3D stylized hourglass emblem of Favre Leuba at 6 o’clock adds elegance to the dial.
The Chief Chronograph is powered by the automatic movements from Manufacture La Joux-Perret, the L113, ensuring the highest standards of Swiss precision and innovation. It will be available at 4,300 CHF (17,325 AED) with a rubber strap, and 4,375 CHF (17,625 AED) with a steel bracelet.
Chief Date
With a diameter of 40mm and a thickness of just 10.8mm, the Chief Date shares the refined design of the Chief Chronograph in a slightly smaller, slimmer package. The textured dial features a stamped tapestry pattern of high-relief hourglasses, and a discreet date window at 3 o’clock adds practical functionality.

The dials are available in vibrant hues of green, blue, and black, each with an offset sunray finish that captures light in a distinctive, modern way. Powered by the La Joux-Perret G100 movement, the Chief Date boasts a 68-hour power reserve. The Chief Date will be available at 2,300 CHF (9,276 AED) with a rubber strap, and 2,375 CHF (9,575 AED) with a steel bracelet.
Deep Blue Collection
The Deep Blue Collection pays homage to Favre Leuba’s rich history and technical prowess in dive watchmaking. First introduced in the 1960s, the Deep Blue quickly gained popularity for its robust design and water resistance of up to 200 meters, an impressive feature for its time.
The new collection, representing the diver facet of Favre Leuba’s relaunch, introduces two flagship models: the Deep Blue Revival and the Deep Blue Renaissance. The former is a faithful reissue of the original 1964 model, while the latter presents a more contemporary aesthetic.
In celebration of the 60th anniversary of the Deep Blue (1964-2024), Favre Leuba is reintroducing its iconic model as the Deep Blue Revival. Staying true to its original design and 39mm dimensions, this reissue blends tradition and modernity, appealing to both newcomers and aficionados. The 39mm case, with a thickness of 12.75mm, is built for water resistance up to 300 meters, surpassing the original 200 meters. The Deep Blue Revival features a sunray-finished gray dial with baton-shaped indexes from the original design, ensuring excellent readability. The iconic round date window at 4:30 retains the polished, glossy finish of the 1964 model. The Deep Blue Revival is powered by the La Joux-Perret automatic G100 movement and is priced at 2,250 CHF (9,070 AED).
The Deep Blue Renaissance is a modernized cousin of the Deep Blue Revival, with a fresh, contemporary design that exudes sophistication. Its dial comes in deep blue, intense green, and anthracite gray, showcasing a smoked effect with a gradient that transitions from lighter at the center to darker at the edges.
The Deep Blue Renaissance is available with a rubber strap or a completely redesigned ‘3-link’ steel bracelet, priced at 2,200 CHF (8,865 AED) with the rubber strap and 2,300 CHF (9,276 AED) with the steel bracelet.
Sea Sky Chronograph
Favre Leuba’s Sea Sky Chronograph epitomizes Swiss watchmaking with peerless precision and exceptional quality. The 40mm case in 316L stainless steel features a juxtaposition of polished and brushed surfaces, exuding rugged elegance. Inside, the prestigious La Joux-Perret L112 automatic chronograph movement provides a 60-hour power reserve, visible through a sapphire case back.
The watch is available in black, blue, or sunburst brown dials, each featuring three white counters at 3, 6, and 9 o’clock. The broad arrow-style hands and vintage-inspired indices further enhance its classic appeal. The Sea Sky Chronograph is priced at 3,950 CHF (15,900 AED).
