Three new limited editions added to the Chronomat collection in steel or red gold
One of Breitling's most famous collections is the Chronomat, a collection that was relaunched in 1984. Since then, we have seen an array of releases, including the most recent collaboration with Triumph Motorcycles, and the Chronomat B01 42 Super Bowl LVIII Edition released earlier this year. Now, the brand has collaborated with NBA star Giannis Antetokounmpo to unveil 3 new timepieces featuring different complications and crafted from various materials.
The first release is the Chronomat Automatic GMT 40, a stainless steel watch with a 40 mm diameter and 11.77 mm thickness. It features a cambered sapphire crystal that protects the stunning green dial, a unidirectional bezel, and a closed caseback. The dial showcases a distinctive yellow GMT hand, Giannis Antetokounmpo's initials "GA" on the central seconds hand, and a date window at 6 o'clock.
Powered by Breitling’s Caliber 32, this automatic movement operates at 28,800 vph (4Hz) and offers a 42-hour power reserve. Paired with a stainless steel Rouleaux bracelet with a butterfly clasp, this timepiece is limited to just 1,750 pieces and is priced at AED 23,750.
The second release from this collaboration is the Chronomat B01 42 Giannis Antetokounmpo, a limited edition of 250 pieces crafted in 18k red gold. The case measures 42 mm in diameter and 15.10 mm in thickness, featuring a cambered sapphire crystal and a unidirectional bezel with a 60-minute scale. The case back is screwed in and fitted with a sapphire crystal.
The green dial features black chronograph counters in a tri-compax layout, with the 9 o'clock counter uniquely outlined in the shape of a basketball. The indexes and hands are coated with Super-LumiNova for enhanced visibility. The dial showcases a central seconds chronograph hand adorned with Giannis Antetokounmpo's "GA" initials, and a date window at 6 o'clock.
The watch is powered by Breitling’s manufacture Caliber 01, an automatic movement that operates at 28,800 vph (4Hz) and offers a 70-hour power reserve. It comes with a new green rouleaux-inspired rubber strap, with an 18k red gold folding clasp, priced at AED 90,090. Additionally, it is available with an 18k red gold Rouleaux bracelet with a butterfly clasp, priced at AED 161,755.
For its third and final notable release, Breitling has crafted an exclusive "One of One" red gold Chronomat B01 specifically for Antetokounmpo. This unique model features golden Eastern Arabic numerals, a white inner bezel, and white contrasting chronograph counters set against a green dial. The colors pay homage to his team and celebrate his extraordinary journey from a stateless youth in Greece to an NBA icon.
