Taking the World Time Complication to the Next Level
Last year, Bovet made a big step in developing the world timer function, this classic, highly complicated function, as it presented the first watch that solves the complexities of Daylight Saving Time (DST): the Récital 28 Prowess 1. This exceptional watch received recognition from the GPHG jury and won the Mechanical Exception Prize.
Now, a year after this release, Bovet comes again with the world timer and presents the Récital 30 World Timer, another achievement for the brand. It allows world travelers to accurately display 25 global time zones during the four time periods of the year, Coordinated Universal Time, American Summer Time, European and American Summer Time, and European Winter Time – thanks to the ingenuity of the Récital Rolls system.
This new watch is more compact in size compared to the 46.3mm of the previous Récital. Comes in two options: a fancy red gold and a more sporty titanium case. The Récital 30 case is 42mm in diameter and 12.9mm thick. It is topped with an ultra-domed sapphire crystal and an exhibition caseback. Two pushers at 2 and 4 o’clock flank the cabochon-set crown.
For the first time ever, Bovet is making its own cases in its facility in Tramelan. All titanium Récital 30 cases will be made entirely in-house, while the 18K red gold Récital 30 cases will be produced in the Tramelan manufacture from 2026.
The 2 o’clock pusher rotates each roller by 90 degrees, automatically adjusting all 24 time zones to the correct seasonal period. The 4 o’clock pusher advances the central 24-hour world dial by one hour per press.
On the dial of the Récital 30, the world time 26 rollers take centre stage, with a day/night indicator linked to local time. The roller system enables adjustment to any of the four annual UTC periods: (UTC) Coordinated Universal Time, (AST) American Summer Time, (EAS) European and American Summer Time, (EWT) European Winter Time. This ensures all world time zones, including New Delhi, with its unique 30-minute offset, remain accurate year-round.
The central handset is linked to your local time with the help of the day/night indicator above the Bovet name, while the inner 24-hour ring corresponds to the 24 city rollers surrounding it.
New Delhi stands out in black, accompanied by a yellow arrow indicator in the global edition, or red in the collector’s edition dedicated to India. An additional minute hand in the same color (yellow or red) is used to accurately display New Delhi time, taking into account its unique half-hour offset. The other hands are rendered in silver for the titanium version and in gold for the red gold version.

Under the sapphire crystal caseback, the full-size rotor takes all the attention with stunning engraving, you can’t see anything underneath it. The Récital 30 is powered by the R30-70-001 automatic movement, with a diameter of 33.50 mm, operating at 28,800 vibrations per hour, and offering a 60-hour power reserve. Comprising 373 components, this sophisticated mechanism makes setting world time remarkably simple.
The Récital 30 comes on a rubber strap. Only 30 pieces will be produced this year. For prices the Titanium version comes at CHF 68,000 equivalent to AED 306,300, Red gold CHF 96,800 (equivalent to AED 436,000)
