Bvlgari & MB&F Reimagine the Iconic Serpenti

Collaborations in watchmaking often bring together the creativity of a brand and its chosen partner, whether they be artists, athletes, or designers. However, it’s far rarer to see two well-known watchmaking powerhouses join forces. The partnership between Bvlgari and MB&F is a fascinating case, as both brands serve as creative forces in the industry with anything they put their hands on.

Their latest collaboration, the Bvlgari x MB&F Serpenti, follows their 2021 partnership, which resulted in the MB&F x Bvlgari LM FlyingT Allegra launched at Dubai Watch Week. This time, the two brands reinterpret Bvlgari’s iconic Serpenti through the mechanical artistry of MB&F’s horological machines, merging biomorphic design with high-complication watchmaking in a way that only they can.

Introducing Vulcain Unveils Three New Variants Titled The Legacy of Legend

The ReIssue of the iconic 1950s Chronograph Heritage, In permanent and limited editions

Vulcain was founded in 1858 in La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland. With over a century and a half of watchmaking expertise, the brand has established itself as a respected brand in the watch industry. Vulcain is perhaps best known for its Cricket alarm watch, introduced in 1947, which gained fame as the first wristwatch with a mechanical alarm function. Beyond its Cricket watches, Vulcain has a history of creating iconic timepieces that has not only left a mark on the watch industry….

The reissued Vulcain Cricket

The relationship between Vulcain, and the legendary football club Real Madrid, is a tale of two giants in their respective fields. Recognizing the immense popularity of soccer, Vulcain had established a significant presence in these regions by the early 1930s. The connection with Real Madrid has deep roots, thanks in part to André Ditisheim, nicknamed "Didixien", Grandson of the founders of the brand, Didixien was not only an accomplished athlete in tennis and skiing but also a passionate football player. In 1907, at the age of 18, he moved to Madrid to learn Spanish. His football skills soon led him to become the attacking midfielder for Madrid FC, which later evolved into the world-famous Real Madrid.

In 1934, Vulcain was appointed the official timekeeper for Real Madrid. This was a landmark year for the club, marked by their triumph in the Spanish Cup, led by the legendary goalkeeper Zamora. The same year, coach Fernando Bru leveraged a Vulcain chronograph for training sessions, crediting it for the team's victory in the 1934 Spanish Championship.

In honor of this rich sports heritage, Vulcain is reissuing its iconic 1950s Chronograph Heritage as the 'Monopusher,' featuring a compact 39 mm x 13 mm brushed and polished stainless steel case. This new version will be available in three variants: one with a beautiful salmon dial, a second one with a mysterious black dial featuring white counters - both limited to 50 pieces each, and the last variant joins the permanent line, featuring a black dial with black counters, all are topped by a double domed sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating ensuring a beautiful view of the dial, and a screw-in Caseback with the Vulcain logo.

Staying faithful to the original aesthetic, the reissued watches retain the numerals and hour-markers of the iconic timepiece. Under the Vulcain emblem at 12:00, the dial displays "Chronometer." Alongside the minute track, the watch features a pulsometer scale marked with "Graduated for 30 pulsations” For instance, if you initiate the chronograph and record thirty pulses, and the chronograph ceases at 60 on the scale, it indicates that your heart rate is 60 beats per minute. The dial holds in a small seconds subdial at 9 o’clock, central black chronograph seconds, and a 30-minute chronograph counter at 3 o’clock.

While the visual design remains unchanged, the watch now houses a SELLITA SW 510 caliber, a hand-wound movement that brings contemporary precision to this historical timepiece. It operates at 28,800 vph (4Hz), and offers 58 hours of power reserve. These watches come with an array of straps including a black or brown Calf Harrison Leather with matched stitching, paired with a stainless steel buckle. Priced at CHF 2,950, which is equivalent to AED 13,500.
