A Classic Dive Watch with a Distinctive Burgundy Dial
The Tudor Black Bay collection stands as a testament to the perfect fusion of timeless elegance and cutting-edge innovation in horology. Launched in 2012, this iconic range draws inspiration from Tudor's rich maritime heritage, evoking the ruggedness of vintage diving watches while incorporating the precision and craftsmanship of modern Swiss watchmaking. Over the years, the brand has introduced numerous editions within this collection, including the notable “Black Bay 58 Inter Milan”, a special collaboration with the renowned football club to celebrate their 20th Serie A title win last year.
Today, during the Watches & Wonders 2025 event, Tudor unveils its latest addition to the Black Bay family, a new Black Bay 58 in a rich, unique burgundy hue.
The watch comes in a stainless steel case with both polished and satin finishes, offering a refined balance of elegance and durability. With a 39mm diameter and a thickness of 11.7mm, the case provides a comfortable fit while maintaining a robust, classic aesthetic. The screw-down winding crown is made of stainless steel and is embossed with the iconic Tudor rose in relief, adding a distinctive touch to the design.
Designed for functionality and adventure, the watch is waterproof to 200m, making it ideal for diving and water sports. The unidirectional rotatable bezel, crafted from stainless steel with a striking burgundy anodised aluminium insert, enhances both its practical use and visual appeal. Completing the case is the domed sapphire crystal, which ensures scratch resistance while offering clear visibility of the dial.
The Tudor Black Bay 58 features a striking burgundy dial with a domed shape that enhances its vintage-inspired aesthetic. The dial is adorned with applied hour indices, while the luminous coating on both the hands and indices ensures legibility in low-light conditions. Surrounding the indices is a white printed minute track, which further accentuates the dial's precision and balance, offering a subtle contrast to the rich burgundy backdrop.
The watch is powered by the Manufacture Calibre MT5400-U, a self-winding mechanical movement featuring a bidirectional rotor system. This highly precise movement boasts a 65-hour power reserve, ensuring reliability even when not worn for several days. Operating at a frequency of 28,800 vph (4Hz) and equipped. The MT5400-U caliber is chronometer-certified by both COSC and METAS, offering an accuracy of 0/+5 seconds per day. In addition, the movement features an amagnetic silicon balance spring, enhancing its resistance to magnetic fields.
