The Brand’s Iconic Time Display Merges with an Openworked Design
Since its first launch in 2018, Trilobe has captivated watch enthusiasts with its unique approach to time display, replacing traditional hands with rotating rings. Its latest addition, Une Folle Journée, which translates to "A Crazy Day" in French, was introduced in 2022, pushing this unconventional concept to new heights. Building on the previous Les Matinaux and Nuit Fantastique collections, the Une Folle Journée watches feature an open dial and three rotating rings mounted on pillars above the movement.
Originally launched in five editions, the three rings, one for hours, another for minutes, and the third for seconds, rotate simultaneously. A red indicator at the six o’clock position marks the hours and minutes, while the seconds ring is positioned at the center, elevated above the others. These elements are supported by nine meticulously crafted geometric pillars extending from the main plate.
On the occasion of Watches & Wonders 2025, the Une Folle Journée collection welcomes three new editions, all featuring rhodium-plated movement components, joining the previous releases.
The watches come in a Grade 5 titanium case, composed of three parts, with a mix of polished and brushed finishes. The case measures 40.5mm in diameter and 17.8mm in thickness. However, the actual case thickness is just 10.2mm, while the additional height comes from the strikingly domed sapphire crystal. The bezel also features a domed design, while the transparent case back offers a clear view of the movement through an anti-reflective sapphire crystal.
The hour, minute, and second indicators rise 10.2mm above the base, creating a spectacular display of mechanical ingenuity. Each rotating ring presents a technical challenge, as it is secured by a titanium edge containing an inner curved ring with a satin finish, available in black, green, or blue via DLC coating. These rings are made from a titanium-aluminum composite, making them lightweight yet difficult to shape. They are supported by nine vertical pillars, ensuring smooth rotation.
The red indicator at six o’clock allows for an instant reading of the time, with the outer ring displaying the hours, the middle ring showing the minutes, and the smallest ring indicating the seconds.
The dial fully reveals the exclusive X-Centric automatic movement, developed in collaboration with the Le Cercle des Horlogers workshop. This exceptional mechanism features a micro-rotor made of tungsten and consists of 196 components. The bridges and main plate boast a multi-layered design with carefully hand-polished bevels, creating a striking contrast with the sandblasted surfaces. The bridges are then rhodium-plated to enhance their refined finish. The movement operates at a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour (4Hz) and offers a 48-hour power reserve.

Each of the three new editions is fitted with a leather strap that matches the color of the rings and is secured with a titanium pin buckle. As for the price, all three editions are available for €20,400, approximately AED 81,590.
