Introducing The New Seiko 5 Sports x Kentaro Yoshida Limited Edition

A new collection in collaboration with the Japanese artist Kentaro Yoshida

Seiko has partnered with Japan-born, Australia-based artist Kentaro Yoshida to create a striking limited edition collection. The Seiko 5 Sports x Kentaro Yoshida collection, titled “Time Goes by Forever”, captures the endless cycle of time through vibrant, nature-inspired designs. The collection consists of three distinctive models, each reflecting a different aspect of nature and the passage of time. Yoshida’s signature artwork is at the heart of the designs, drawing from themes of clouds, sky, sun, moon, beach, wild plants, and flowers.

Each timepiece in the collection features a 42.5mm PVD coated stainless steel case in black or gold, with a thickness of 13.4mm. The watches are water-resistant up to 100 metres, making them suitable for everyday wear. Seiko has fitted the models with Hardlex crystal on both the front and back.

The dials of this collection are adorned with Kentaro Yoshida’s signature skeleton motifs, symbolizing the continuous motion of life. Each model showcases a distinct theme and color scheme, reflecting elements of nature.

The SRPL25K represents the Clouds & Sky as it features a cloud-inspired dial in dark chromatic tones, evoking the fleeting beauty of the skies. The SRPL26K takes inspiration from the Sun, Moon & Beach emboding the rhythm of the ocean and celestial transitions, with a golden aesthetic, mirroring the brilliance of sunlit beaches and rolling waves. The SRPL27K presents the Wild Plants & Flowersthat symbolizes growth and renewal with its textured green dial, detailed with intricate floral motifs. Despite their artistic variations, all models maintain a minimalist design, with Lumibrite-filled indices at 12 and 6 o’clock ensuring legibility in low-light conditions. It also features a day-date window at 3 o’clock.

All three watches are powered by Seiko’s in-house automatic Calibre 4R36. This movement operates at a frequency of 21,600 vph (3Hz), and offers a 41-hour power reserve.

The SRPL25K comes with a black rubber strap, the SRPL26K features a gold PVD stainless steel bracelet, and the SRPL27K is paired with a green NATO strap. Each variant is limited to 500 pieces and is exclusively available in Australia and New Zealand for A$695, approximately AED 2,600.
