A beautiful watch with a rose gold dial and elegant decorations
Gerald Charles is an independent Swiss based brand that is owned by the italian Ziviani family. It was founded by the renowned watchmaker and artist Mr. Gérald Charles Genta, who named the brand after his first and middle names. In 2005, Gérald Genta introduced the Maestro flying tourbillon, the first Maestro case to feature a tourbillon, and the case was perfectly shaped to accommodate the tourbillon cage. Last year, the brand released the Maestro 9.0 Tourbillon, a stainless steel watch with a blue dial, paying homage to the previous 2005 tourbillon watch.
Now, Gerald Charles is releasing the Maestro 9.0 Roman Tourbillon, a 50-piece limited edition with a hand-hammered 18K rose-gold dial. This watch celebrates the Roman architecture and art that inspired the iconic Maestro case, highlighted by the use of Roman numerals.
The dial is not the only standout feature, as the watch also boasts a combination of materials. It features a blue Grade 5 titanium bezel that surrounds the sapphire crystal and a polished stainless-steel case measuring 39 mm by 41 mm. The blue bezel, achieved through an advanced galvanic treatment, not only enhances the aesthetic appeal but also significantly the robustness of the timepiece.
The rose gold dial features white gold indexes with blue PVD coating. The dial has baton-shaped hands filled with white Super-LumiNova, which emit a blue light at night. The 60-seconds titanium flying tourbillon is positioned at 6 o'clock. Additionally, the timepiece includes a blue indicator on the "G" of the cage, serving as a small seconds indicator.
Through the sapphire crystal caseback, you can see the manufacture caliber GCA 3024/12, an automatic movement with a 22K rose gold rotor, adorned with the Gerald Charles "Honeycomb" design, and bridges with Côtes de Genève and perlage finishes. This movement operates at 28,800 vph (4Hz) and offers a 50-hour power reserve.
The new Maestro 9.0 Roman Tourbillon comes with a hand stitched matt blue alligator leather strap, with a folding clasp. It is priced at CHF 82,400, equivalent to AED 338,600.
