The Iconic Watch with Its First-Ever Stainless Steel Bracelet
Raketa launches its latest addition to its famous Big Zero collection, with a new grey dial, and for the first time, the iconic watch model Big Zero on a bracelet. The new grey dial, combined with a stainless steel case and bracelet, emphasizes the overall minimalistic design and timeless quality of the Big Zero model. At different viewing angles and light levels.
The Big Zero is one of the most famous Soviet-era watch designs to have conquered the hearts of watch enthusiasts and to have stood the test of time. You can read our review of this iconic watch. This timepiece cannot be described as classic in a conventional meaning. However, its exceptional design has indeed become a Raketa classic.
The watch maintains its distinctive cushion case design. Viewed from the side, the case features a subtle upward curve at the center. Crafted from stainless steel, the case measures 40 mm in diameter, with a lug-to-lug distance of 43 mm and a thickness of 14.05 mm.
The dial is protected by sapphire crystal, while the case back is topped with mineral glass, details further explained in this article. Adding a touch of luxury, the crown is adorned with a ruby stone, revealed through its precise cutting.
The dial comes in a grey color and retains Raketa’s signature design with the big '0' at the 12 o’clock position, while the rest of the numerals are a mix of large Arabic and triangle indices in white. This design is inspired by the original Soviet-style aesthetic.
The exterior metallized appearance of the Big Zero Grey continues on the inside. The transparent case back reveals a beautifully decorated automatic Raketa movement, entirely designed and manufactured at the Raketa Watch Factory in St. Petersburg.
Powering the watch is Raketa’s in-house automatic movement, the Caliber 2615, which also drives other models in the Big Zero collection. This movement operates at 18,000 vph (2.5 Hz) and offers a 40-hour power reserve. The rotor features laser-engraved Neva waves.
For the first time, the Raketa Big Zero gets a bracelet, made of seven-link stainless steel. This limited edition of 200 pieces is priced at AED 6,990.
