Bringing back the brand’s iconic diver with a slimmer, more elegant case
The Los Angeles-based brand Nodus earned a loyal following for its durable yet stylish timepieces, and has always had a knack for making daily wear feel special. Whether it’s the simplicity of the Unity or the practical elegance of the Contrail GMT, the brand delivers quality watches with designs that never break the bank.
Back in 2019, Nodus introduced the Duality, a striking watch inspired by the dual-crown dive watches of the ’60s and ’70s. It was a standout release that captured the hearts of collectors with its vintage flair and robust build. Now, Nodus is bringing the Duality back, but with a thinner case and a more modern design.
The Duality II retains its classic 40mm diameter but boasts a slimmer profile, measuring just 11.50mm thick, 1.60mm thinner than its predecessor. Crafted from durable 316L stainless steel, the case is paired with a domed sapphire crystal that not only enhances its sleek aesthetic but also optimizes internal space. Additionally, the watch features a fully-decoupling screw-down crown at the 2 o’clock position, which controls an internal rotating bezel, and offers 300 meters of water resistance.

The dial is available in black (Chasm Black) or white (Unity White), both featuring a date window at 6 o’clock. While the original Duality showcased a two-layer sandwich dial with shiny applied outlines that created a “sunken” effect and reflected light in captivating ways, the Duality II takes it a step further. It introduces higher-grade applied indices with large, faceted designs that enhance the dial’s aesthetics. Both the indices and hands are treated with Super-LumiNova, ensuring excellent legibility in low-light conditions.

Like its predecessor, the Duality II is powered by the reliable Japanese Miyota Cal. 9015 movement, which operates at 28,800 vph (4Hz) and offers a 42-hour power reserve. While its standard accuracy is rated at -10 to +30 seconds per day, Nodus has gone the extra mile by regulating it to an impressive +/- 8 seconds per day. The watch comes with a three-link steel bracelet with NodeX adjustable clasp, and is priced at AED 3,400.
