Bvlgari unveils a trio of Aluminum timepieces in vibrant new hues
From the first-generation models launched in 1998, Bvlgari Aluminium has redefined the concept of a luxury sports watch. It speaks a universal language that transcends gender, age, trends, and eras, consistently approaching the realm of watchmaking with boldness and a pioneering spirit.
Breaking free from the constraints of trends and eras, Bvlgari Aluminium has reshaped the landscape of luxury sports watches. It offers a glimpse into Bvlgari's Mediterranean heritage. During Watches and Wonders 2024, Bulgari unveiled several remarkable timepieces, including the thinnest watch, setting a new world record with the "Octo Finissimo Ultra COSC" now at a mere 1.70 mm, securing its position as the world’s thinnest mechanical watch and marking Bulgari's ninth world record achievement.
The latest addition to the aluminum collection marks a significant release since Bulgari introduced the New Aluminium x Gran Turismo Special Editions, solidifying its status as the first haute horlogerie brand to collaborate with the Gran Turismo racing series video games. Now with the new releases which shares the 40 mm case made of aluminum.
Bvlgari Aluminium Smeraldo Chronograph
Presented in a 40 mm aluminum case, this timepiece showcases a dark green rubber bezel adorned with Bvlgari's signature double branding, complemented by a DLC-coated titanium crown. Notably, the caseback bears an engraving of a wind rose, symbolizing adventure and exploration. Crafted from titanium, it boasts water resistance up to 100 meters.
This Special Edition Chronograph boasts a dial in varying shades of green, reminiscent of the sea's depth and richness. Dark green and white indexes, illuminated with Super-LumiNova, are paired with dark blue hour and minute hands also treated with SLN. The chronograph seconds hand is silver with a white tip, while the subdial hands are white. The layout includes a small seconds subdial at 3 o'clock, a 12-hour counter at 6 o'clock, and a 30-minute counter at 9 o'clock, along with a discreet date window positioned at 4:30.
The Bvlgari Aluminium Smeraldo Special Edition watch houses a mechanical manufacture movement, featuring automatic winding and the B130 caliber. Operating at a frequency of 4 Hz (28,800 vibrations per hour), it offers a substantial power reserve of 42 hours.
The new editions come with a dark green rubber bracelet incorporating aluminum links, secured with a pin buckle. Limited to 800 pieces, the watch is priced at EUR 5,500, equivalent to 22,000 AED.
Bvlgari Aluminium GMT
The GMT model made its debut in the Aluminium collection in 2021 and now returns with a new edition. Showcasing a unique fusion of innovative materials, this timepiece features a complementary 40 mm aluminum case, a black rubber bezel intricately engraved with the double logo, and a matching black rubber strap. Consistent with other watches in this series, the case has undergone DLC treatment on both the crown and caseback, ensuring durability and resilience. It is water-resistant up to 100 meters.
The off-white dial is accented with a black and red inner ring, black Superluminova-filled indices and hands, along with Arabic numerals at 12 and 6 o'clock. A distinctive 24-hour arrow-shaped hand with a red and white tip indicates day and night hours; the red area of the GMT scale signifies daytime, while the black represents nighttime.
