A new addition to Audemars skeletonized release in different materials
The Royal Oak, first introduced in 1972, stands as an icon in the world of horology. Emerging during the quartz revolution, this audacious creation by Audemars Piguet redefined luxury watchmaking and was the first in its category that is known as luxury sports watches.
Since its debut, the Royal Oak has continually evolved, showcasing an impressive array of releases that vary in size, material, and complexity. Following AP’s recently unveiled Royal Oak Double Balance Wheel Openworked 37mm, the brand is now releasing a 41mm trio in steel, black ceramic, and 18k yellow gold cases with gold or anthracite toned openworked dials.

The trio comes in a 41mm diameter with a 9.9mm thickness case, all brushed and polished. It features an octagonal bezel with eight gold screws, a glareproofed sapphire crystal front and caseback, a screw-down crown, and is water-resistant up to 50 meters.

The openworked dials feature a gold-toned inner bezel and movement for the black ceramic and steel variants, while the yellow gold variant has an anthracite-toned inner bezel and movement. Both include applied gold indices with luminescent coating, as well as gold hour and minute hands with luminescent coating.
The watches are powered by the in-house calibre 3132, an automatic movement with a double balance wheel, therefore increasing the movement precision. The movement offers 45 hours of power reserve and operates at a frequency of 21,600 vph (3Hz). They all come with an integrated bracelet in steel, gold, or black ceramic with a folding clasp. The steel variant is priced at CHF 66,500, equivalent to AED 270,000, while both the gold and ceramic variants share the price of CHF 88,000, equivalent to AED 357,500.
