Two timepieces inspired by the Chorus Stellarum silk scarf
During Watches and Wonders 2024, Hermès unveiled an array of new timepieces, including the Arceau Duc Attelé and the new Cut collection. A standout piece from these novelties is the Arceau Chorus Stellarum, inspired by the Chorus Stellarum silk scarf designed by Japanese designer Daiske Nomura. This unique and creative watch, limited to just a few pieces, has a stunning dial showcasing a yellow gold horse with a skeleton rider.
The brand introduced two new releases, both in 41mm white gold cases with asymmetrical stirrup-shaped lugs. One of the models has a bezel adorned with up to 70 diamonds. The dials come in two color variations: one in dark blue and the other in silver.
Each watch features champlevé enamel, lacquer, and miniature painting. The name “Chorus Stellarum” is Latin for “Dance of the Stars,” which is reflected in the rhodium-plated stars scattered around the dial. The yellow gold horse animates at the push of a button located at the 9 o'clock position.
The watch is powered by the automatic Hermès Manufacture H1837 movement, which can be seen through the sapphire crystal case-back. The movement operates at 28,800 vph (4 Hz) and offers a 50-hour power reserve. The watch comes with either an abyss blue or pearl gray alligator leather strap, each featuring a white gold pin buckle. Each watch is limited to six numbered pieces.
