Monsieur Genta, known as 'Maestro,' was a prolific artist and watch designer. Even after selling the company in 2003, he remained the chief designer until his passing in 2011. His enduring legacy of “Artistic Creativity, Technical Mastery” is embodied in every Gerald Charles timepiece, which continues to inspire his artistic vision and technical expertise.
As the seasons transition into autumn, the brand continues to captivate watch enthusiasts by introducing a new color palette to their existing Maestro 2.0 Ultra-Thin and Maestro 3.0 Chronograph models. While the earlier editions exuded elegance and refinement with their Rose Gold and Royal Blue variants, these new additions bring forth a unique and inviting shade of dark brown. This choice of color perfectly complements the shift in seasons, capturing the essence of autumn's warmth and richness.
The distinctive 40mm 18k rose gold case draws inspiration from Mr. Gérald Charles Genta's original sketches. These sketches are influenced by the 17th-century Roman Baroque architecture of Francesco Borromini. The Maestro 2.0 Ultra-Thin measures a mere 8.7mm in thickness, while the Maestro 3.0 Chronograph is 11.5mm. The case is protected by a flat sapphire crystal on top, featuring multi-layer internal and external anti-reflection treatment. It also includes a screw-down crown with a Clous de Paris finish and an embossed logo, ensuring water resistance up to 100 meters. Furthermore, a second sapphire crystal on the caseback unveils the intricate architecture and finishing of the mechanical movement.

The Chocolate Brown sunburst dial exhibits an interplay of shifting colors, with hues that can appear warmer or cooler depending on the lighting conditions. Both dials feature polished indices and a 4N color minute track surrounding the baton-shaped hands, which are luminescent thanks to Super-LumiNova. However, the Maestro 2.0 Ultra-Thin displays the time along with a date window at 6 o'clock, whereas the Maestro 3.0 Chronograph features a 60-second subdial at 3 o'clock, a 12-hour subdial at 6 o'clock, and a 30-minute subdial at 9 o'clock, omitting a date indicator.

The Maestro 2.0 is driven by the Automatic Ultra-thin caliber GCA 3002, offering time and date functions. In contrast, the Maestro 3.0 Chronograph is equipped with the caliber GCA 3022/12, an automatic chronograph derived from the GCA 3002. These calibers share common traits, operating at 28,800 vibrations per hour (4Hz), delivering 50-hour power reserve, and boasting 5G shock resistance. The decorated bridges feature colimaçon, côtes de Genève, and perlage finishes, all elegantly complemented by a central oscillating weight. Both calibers are developed by Vaucher Manufacture Fleurier, uniquely customized for Gerald Charles.
