Three Editions in Collaboration with Revolution and Auro Montanari
Established in 2021, Furlan Marri has consistently achieved successive milestones, gaining early recognition with the GPHG Award just six months after inception. This year, collaborating with watchmakers Dominique Renaud and Julien Tixier, the company crafted a unique perpetual calendar watch for debut at the Only Watch 2023 charity auction.
Now, Furlan Marri unveils a new series of three Flyback Chronograph watches in partnership with Revolution magazine and the distinguished watch collector Auro Montanari, also known as John Goldberger. With a strong social media presence and collaborations with renowned watch brands, Montanari adds his expertise to this exciting venture.
All three watches feature a brushed and polished stainless steel case with identical dimensions, measuring 38 mm in diameter and 13.2 mm in thickness. Influenced by Auro Montanari, the case design embraces vintage-inspired codes from the 1940s and 1950s, incorporating two pushers – one at 2 o'clock for start/stop of the chronograph and the second at 4 o'clock for chronograph reset. Each piece is uniquely numbered with an engraving between the lugs at 6 o'clock, complemented by a scratch-proof sapphire crystal with five layers of anti-reflective coating and one anti-fingerprint layer.
All the three references have a sandwich dial formed of two overlapping parts, the Taupe Flyback edition which features a dark and light gray hue, the second reference comes with a salmon dial surrounded by black ring, and the two subdials come in black too with the salmon section revealing a vertical brushed finish. As requested by Wei Koh, this exclusive Revolution edition features the celebrated ‘Tasti Tondi’ push-pieces from the Furlan Marri mecaquartz. The third watch the Honey Blue Flyback, comes in blue dial with a black railtrack road.
The two-toned dial adds depth and emphasizes the two subdials, starting from the 30 minutes subdial at 3 o'clock, to the small seconds subdial at 9 o’ clock, while The indications are ‘double-printed’ and the applied hour-markers are polished. The attention to detail can be seen in the hands made from stainless steel, which are CNC-machined, then polished and curved to accentuate the three-dimensional feeling. while the hands in the Honey Blue flyback edition features a 23K yellow gold PVD-treatment.
The watch’s transparent sapphire crystal case back reveals the decorated movement. Each of these models contains the same caliber, the Sellita AMT5100 with a column wheel-controlled flyback. The manually wound movement is tested in five positions and has a power reserve of 58 hours.
The movement features meticulous finishes, including circular graining, côtes de Genève, and a blued column wheel and screws. It has been customized with a bridge exclusively redesigned for Furlan Marri and an 18K rose gold coating on the movement. Finally, the words ‘crafted with care, designed for details’ can be read around the column wheel.
The watches comes with two vegetable-tanned French cow leather straps, with a 316L steel buckle with engraved reference.
Each edition is limited to 300 pieces, inclusive of 30 'collector boxes' containing all three models in a wooden presentation box. The price is set at CHF 2,750, equivalent to 11,500 AED.
The Taupe Flyback reference is exclusively distributed by Furlan Marri, the Salmon reference by Revolution, and the Honey Blue reference by Furlan Marri and Revolution.
