Rotating Cases and Green Dials Featuring Moon Phases in Various Shapes
De Rijke & Co. is a Dutch brand founded by Lawrence de Rijke, an engineer with a deep passion for classic vehicles and horology. The brand is renowned for its mechanical timepieces, which feature a playful design and unique artwork inspired by de Rijke's adventures. Each watch is meticulously crafted, assembled, and finished in their workshop in the Netherlands, with a design focused on functionality for drivers. One of the brand’s iconic collections is the "Amalfi," which features a distinctive 90-degree rotating case, enhancing readability while driving.
The brand introduced the Miffy Moonphase in 2022 with a blue dial and later expanded the collection with an array of colors. This year, the brand is releasing two new models featuring a fresh green hue, the Miffy Moonphase Dick Bruna Green and the Miffy Double Moonphase Dick Bruna Green. The brand has stated that this release marks the conclusion of the Miffy Moonphase collection in a steel case.
The case incorporates a unique 90-degree rotating mechanism, allowing the wearer to adjust the position for easier viewing while driving, particularly practical for those with their hand on the steering wheel. The case measures 38.2mm in diameter and 11.3mm in thickness, including the crystal, with a 42mm lug-to-lug measurement that ensures a balanced fit on the wrist. A high-domed sapphire crystal with an anti-reflective coating enhances legibility. Additionally, the crown is positioned at 1:30.

The dials of both releases feature a vibrant green hue, complemented by applied indexes and a black printed minute track along the periphery. Both watches share the same black hour and minute hands, with the second hand standing out in red. The hour, minute hands, and indexes are all coated with white Super-LumiNova for enhanced legibility in low light. The Miffy Double Moonphase model features a moon phase complication, with a blue disc adorned with stars and a crescent moon, as well as the iconic "Miffy" rotating beneath a sapphire crystal disc to reveal a hidden second moon phase. In contrast, the Miffy Moonphase model displays the moon phase complication through a large window at the top of the dial, showcasing the rotating blue disc without revealing the phase of the second moon.
The watches are powered by the Sellita SW288 automatic movement, offering a 38-hour power reserve with a frequency of 28,800 vph (4Hz).
Both come with black leather straps, and each watch is limited to 50 pieces. The Miffy Moonphase Dick variant is priced at EUR 1,597, approximately AED 6,400, while the Miffy Double Moonphase Dick variant is priced at EUR 1,697, approximately AED 6,800.
