Bvlgari & MB&F Reimagine the Iconic Serpenti

Collaborations in watchmaking often bring together the creativity of a brand and its chosen partner, whether they be artists, athletes, or designers. However, it’s far rarer to see two well-known watchmaking powerhouses join forces. The partnership between Bvlgari and MB&F is a fascinating case, as both brands serve as creative forces in the industry with anything they put their hands on.

Their latest collaboration, the Bvlgari x MB&F Serpenti, follows their 2021 partnership, which resulted in the MB&F x Bvlgari LM FlyingT Allegra launched at Dubai Watch Week. This time, the two brands reinterpret Bvlgari’s iconic Serpenti through the mechanical artistry of MB&F’s horological machines, merging biomorphic design with high-complication watchmaking in a way that only they can.

Introducing Chronoswiss Draws Inspiration from the Cosmos for the Latest Additions to the Space Timer Collection

Supernova and Deep Space Combine Bold Aesthetics with the Classic Moonphase and Regulator Design

Chronoswiss has always been fascinated by the universe, viewing it not just as a distant marvel but as a canvas for creativity and innovation. To celebrate this connection, the brand unveils two new models that embody the vastness of space: the Space Timer Supernova and the Space Timer Deep Space.

These new watches feature the iconic regulator design, a signature of the brand, and Chronoswiss takes this design a step further by incorporating a moon phase indicator and date function. As we have seen recently, the brand introduced a masterpiece combining a tourbillon with this design in the Open Gear Flying Tourbillon Psycho edition.

The Space Timer collection, launched in 2022, draws inspiration from the solar system and the mysteries of outer space. It features bold designs, combining vivid colors with ٍfor a striking and futuristic aesthetic.

While the moonphase complication is not new to Chronoswiss, the brand introduced its first moonphase watch in 1985, shortly after its founding by Gerd-Rüdiger Lang in 1983, the modern finishing and design of these new models set them apart, offering a fresh and captivating take on a classic complication.

Both new editions are encased in a 44mm stainless-steel case with a thickness of 15.2mm. The Deep Space edition features a striking blue CVD coating, while the Supernova comes in a matte grey case. The design, a signature of Chronoswiss, includes the iconic onion-shaped crown and knurled bezel. With sapphire crystal on both sides, these models offer water resistance up to 100 meters.

The dials of these new watches adopt Chronoswiss's famous regulator layout, but with a unique twist. The 3D dials are a study in contrast and motion. The two-tone surfaces feature hand-guillochéd and galvanized treatment, adding depth and texture to the design. The Supernova comes in black and grey, with red accents on the hour, minute, and date rings. The Deep Space edition, on the other hand, boasts a two-tone dial with a hand-guilloché finish and blue PVD coating, complemented by laser-engraved details and blue accents throughout.

The hour subdial is positioned at 12 o’clock, with the minute and seconds hands centrally located. The hands, rhodium-plated and designed in a blade shape, offer a refined aesthetic.

At 6 o’clock, the moonphase indicator is surrounded by the date ring, with the moon crafted from thermally colored titanium and accented by Super-LumiNova for the moon and star indicators. The indices are made from a mix of ceramic and Super-LumiNova, enhancing visibility in low-light conditions.

Both the Space Timer Deep Space and the Space Timer Supernova are powered by the Chronoswiss C.308 caliber. With a 42-hour power reserve and a frequency of 4Hz, the transparent case back reveals the highly finished movement, including a skeletonized rotor with Côtes de Genève detailing. The rotor is coated in galvanic black for the Supernova and blue CVD for the Deep Space.

The Supernova comes with a black calf leather strap, while the Deep Space edition is fitted with a blue alligator leather strap. Each edition is limited to just 50 pieces, priced at CHF 21,300, which is approximately AED 91,700.
