Bvlgari & MB&F Reimagine the Iconic Serpenti

Collaborations in watchmaking often bring together the creativity of a brand and its chosen partner, whether they be artists, athletes, or designers. However, it’s far rarer to see two well-known watchmaking powerhouses join forces. The partnership between Bvlgari and MB&F is a fascinating case, as both brands serve as creative forces in the industry with anything they put their hands on.

Their latest collaboration, the Bvlgari x MB&F Serpenti, follows their 2021 partnership, which resulted in the MB&F x Bvlgari LM FlyingT Allegra launched at Dubai Watch Week. This time, the two brands reinterpret Bvlgari’s iconic Serpenti through the mechanical artistry of MB&F’s horological machines, merging biomorphic design with high-complication watchmaking in a way that only they can.

Introducing Christopher Ward Collaborates with Artist seconde/seconde/ for the Second Time, The Twelve Snake

Commemorating the Chinese Year of the Snake with a retro-gaming aesthetic

Christopher Ward has once again collaborated with Parisian designer Romaric André, also known as seconde/seconde/, to create a special edition timepiece. Following the success of their previous collaboration on the C65 Deskdiver, the brand unveils The Twelve Snake, a bold tribute to the Chinese Year of the Snake with a retro-gaming aesthetic.

The Twelve Snake offers a fresh take on Christopher Ward’s “The Twelve” collection, known for its distinctive textured dial and modern sports appeal. The watch features a stainless steel case, maintaining the sleek proportions of its predecessors, with a 40mm diameter and a slim 9.95mm profile. On the case back, you'll find a commemorative print on the inside of the sapphire crystal. Beneath this, the snake motif reappears on a custom-coated rotor, with the snake moving in a curved path as the rotor spins.

This edition incorporates an 8-bit-inspired theme, with a pixelated snake weaving across the dial to consume its “next meal,” represented by Christopher Ward’s twin-flag logo. Emphasizing the gaming nostalgia, the dial eliminates traditional indices, ensuring the snake remains the focal point. A ‘no-date’ window, placed between 7 and 8 o’clock, nods to the classic ‘bonus bites’ from early handheld games. The exclusive ‘Venom’ green dial evokes the backlit screens of early LCD devices, reinforcing the watch’s playful and unconventional spirit.

Powering the watch is the reliable Sellita SW200-1 automatic movement, which features a frequency of 28,800 vph (4Hz) and offers a power reserve of 38 hours. The watch is available on either a stainless steel bracelet or a rubber strap in Venom Green or Black.

The Twelve Snake is a limited-time release rather than a numbered limited edition. Pre-orders open on January 29th at 3 PM GMT / 7:00 PM Dubai time and will close on February 10th at 3 PM GMT / 7:00 PM Dubai time. Deliveries are set to begin in July 2025.

The Twelve Snake is priced at £1,050 / AED 4,800 on a steel bracelet and £850 / AED 3,900 on a rubber strap.
