Limited Edition Commemorating the 20th Anniversary of the SH21 Movement
Founded in 2004, Christopher Ward is a British luxury watch brand known for offering high-quality timepieces at competitive prices. The company focuses on innovation, using advanced materials and contemporary designs to create reliable and stylish watches. Among its notable collections is the Twelve X series, which combines sporty design with cutting-edge materials. One of the standout pieces from this collection is the “Twelve X Titanium”, first released to celebrate the brand’s 20th anniversary. Crafted from lightweight and durable titanium, this watch blends high performance with a distinctive yet simple design.
Now, Christopher Ward is reissuing this iconic timepiece with updated technical specifications while maintaining the original design, the "Twelve X Steel Special Edition" watch, which was issued to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the brand's Calibre SH21 movement.
This watch features a 41mm stainless steel case with a 12-sided bezel that combines polished, brushed, and sandblasted finishes for a distinctive, textured look. With a height of 12.30mm and a lug-to-lug measurement of 46.30mm, it maintains a well-balanced, versatile profile suitable for daily wear. The watch is water-resistant to 100 meters, making it ideal for light water activities. Its dual anti-reflective box sapphire crystals top and bottom ensure excellent clarity, while the screw-down crown enhances its water resistance and overall durability.
The watch boasts a skeletonized dial that eliminates the traditional dial to fully expose the intricate mechanical movement, allowing the inner workings to be admired from the front. The blue ring encircles the outer edge of the dial, featuring an applied luminous Globolight marker at the 12 o'clock position for added visibility. The new electric blue handset and the subtle pale blue lume on the dial ring create a vibrant and dynamic effect, especially in low light. Super-LumiNova coating is applied to both the blue ring and the hour and minute hands, ensuring excellent legibility with a luminous glow that enhances the watch's aesthetic.
The watch is powered by the skeletonized, self-winding in-house Calibre SH21, a COSC-certified chronometer renowned for its precision and remarkable 120-hour (5-day) power reserve. Comprising approximately 198 parts, this movement is meticulously hand-finished and hand-polished. It operates at a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour (4 Hz) and boasts an accuracy of -4/+6 seconds per day.
The watch is available with two strap options, a blue rubber strap priced at EUR 4,850 approximately AED 19,400, or a bracelet option priced at EUR 5,105 approximately AED 20,400. This watch is a limited edition of just 250 pieces.
