A blend of Italian design and Swiss precision, paying homage to the grandeur of Rome
Bulgari is a renowned luxury brand known for its jewelry, and luxury watches. Established in Rome in 1884 by Sotirios Voulgaris, the brand has become a symbol of Italian craftsmanship and elegance. One notable collection is the Lucea, which was introduced in 2014. This collection exemplifies Bulgari's approach to jeweled timepieces, earning the brand the title of the "Roman Jeweler of Time." During this year’s LVMH watch week, the brand celebrates the 10th-anniversary of Lucea, and introduces 7 new references with distinctive designs. Beyond its diamond-set dial, Bulgari unveils new facets of Lucea’s aesthetics through the artistry of mother-of-pearl and malachite stone inlay.
Bulgari has refined its case and bracelet’s design, embracing symmetrical curves for an enduring elegance. This variant of the Lucea comes in a steel or rose gold case, measuring 33 mm in diameter and 9.16 mm thick. The crown is adorned with a cabochon-cut synthetic sapphire and diamond, and one of the releases is adorned with round brilliant-cut diamonds on its bezel. This variant comes in a white or green mother-of-pearl dial, and its hour markers are elegantly set with 12 diamonds.

The timepiece features a combination of steel and rose gold in its case and bezel with round brilliant-cut diamonds. As for the dimensions it still remains identical to the other variant. The watch showcases a green malachite dial, complemented by hour markers set with 12 diamonds. In total, the timepiece dazzles with 56 diamonds, totaling 1.3 carats. The watch comes with a polished and brushed steel and rose gold bracelet, secured with a folding clasp.
The malachite marquetry in a vibrant green hue on the dial reflects the sixties' fascination with colored stones. This unique composition comprises small fragments of the mineral, typically overlooked, but here transformed into a beautiful creation through the art of upcycling. Skilled artisans at the Bulgari Manufacture in Switzerland choose, cut, and hand assembled each fragment for its vibrant color and expressive grain. Twelve brilliant-cut diamonds, set in square, architecturally inspired settings, serve as hour markers on this exceptional dial.
This Lucea is powered by a self-winding movement that encompasses hours, minutes, and seconds. The movement operates at 28,800 vph (4Hz), and provides a 42-hour power reserve. Additionally, the polished and brushed V-links of the steel and two tone bracelet have been carefully softened and rounded, and are secured with a folding clasp.

The newest Lucea models highlight the progression of time by offering a selection between two case diameters. The 33 mm variation is powered by a self-winding mechanical caliber, providing precision and sophistication. In contrast, the 28 mm x 7.72 mm version is equipped with a quartz movement.
