Six Editions Each with a Unique Dial Representing a Different National Team
The Six Nations Championship, one of the most prestigious and thrilling rugby tournaments in the world, brings together the best of Europe’s rugby talent each year. With its rich history and fierce competition, the tournament captivates millions of fans across the globe, uniting passionate supporters of England, Ireland, Scotland, Wales, France, and Italy.
Breitling, a brand synonymous with precision and excellence, shares a deep connection with the spirit of the Six Nations. As the Official Timing Partner for the tournament, Breitling’s partnership reflects a shared commitment to tradition, innovation, and performance values that are at the heart of both the sport and the brand. Since 2021, Breitling has been proudly aligning itself with the Six Nations, bringing its iconic craftsmanship to the rugby field.
For the 2025 Guinness Six Nations Championship, Breitling introduces a series of six limited-edition Chronomat models, each meticulously crafted to embody the essence of one of the six participating nations. While the models share the same high-end specifications and features, it is the unique dial design that sets each one apart. Every dial captures the distinct identity of its respective country, with bold color choices and intricate details that represent the pride and passion of each nation. These stunning timepieces not only celebrate the legacy of rugby but also offer a lasting tribute to the enduring spirit of the Six Nations.
The case of the Chronomat 40mm is crafted from high-quality stainless steel, offering both durability and a sleek, polished finish. With a diameter of 40mm and a thickness of 11.77mm, it strikes the perfect balance between elegance and robustness. Designed for practicality, the case is water-resistant up to 100 meters, ensuring reliable performance in various conditions. The cambered sapphire glass is glareproofed on both sides, providing optimal clarity and scratch resistance. The solid caseback is engraved with emblems and secured with screws, further enhancing the watch’s durability. Additionally, the crown features two gaskets for enhanced water resistance, while the unidirectional, ratcheted stainless steel bezel adds a functional yet stylish touch.
The dials of the Chronomat Six Nations editions are designed to reflect the distinct identities of each participating nation, with vibrant hues that include burgundy for Wales, green for Ireland, blue for Scotland with a purple GMT hand, blue for France with a red GMT hand, blue for Italy with an orange GMT hand, and silver for England with a red GMT hand.
Each dial features a date window at 6 o'clock, and rhodium-plated hour, minute, and second hands, filled with luminescent Super-LumiNova for enhanced visibility. A white minute track is printed between the hour markers, and a numbered ring matching the dial color is printed with white numerals, enabling the tracking of a second time zone with the GMT hand.
The watches are powered by the Breitling Caliber 32, a self-winding mechanical movement that operates with a bidirectional rotor and ball bearing for enhanced precision and durability. Offering a power reserve of 42 hours, this movement ensures reliable performance over time. With a frequency of 28,800 vph (4 Hz), it delivers smooth and accurate timekeeping. Additionally, the Caliber 32 is COSC-certified, guaranteeing exceptional standards of precision and quality.
