The Chronomat Automatic GMT 40, in ice blue and bright blue dials
As we approach Dubai watch week, Breitling introduces two exclusive Special Edition timepieces for the UAE market, created in collaboration with Ahmed Seddiqi & Sons. Presenting the Breitling Chronomat Automatic GMT 40, one adorned in an ice blue hue as a homage to the capital Abu Dhabi with its mean time (ADMT), while the other features a striking bright blue design as a tribute to the beautify city of Dubai with its Mean Time (DMT), both of which elegantly showcase Indian numerals gracing the dial.
Both watches feature a stainless steel case that measures 40 mm in diameter, and 11.7 mm in thickness, topped by a cambered sapphire glass with anti-glare coating on both sides, surrounded by a stainless-steel unidirectional and ratcheted bezel, with a fluted, dome shaped onion crown for easy adjustments. The watches are secured with a solid, screwed caseback, ensuring 200 meters of water resistance, combining both functional and aesthetic appeal.
The Chronomat Automatic GMT 40 ADMT Special Edition showcases a captivating ice blue dial, while its counterpart, the Chronomat Automatic GMT 40 DMT Special Edition, boasts a vibrant bright blue dial, both adorned with a satin sunray finish. These exceptional editions share a common design element, featuring prominent 18k red gold-plated Eastern Arabic numerals on the dial, and a date window at 6 o'clock, complemented by an 18k red gold-plated hour and minute hands coated with Super-LumiNova, ensuring effortless readability. Additionally, a 24-hour scale allows the user to track a second time zone using the red GMT hand, which also features SLM on its arrow tip.

Powering both watches is the Breitling Caliber 32, a self-winding mechanical movement that features bidirectional ball bearing, ensuring efficient and reliable performance. With 42 hours of a power reserve and a frequency of 28,800 vph (4Hz), this movement is certified by COSC, attesting to its exceptional precision and quality. Both watches are equipped with a stainless steel rouleaux bracelet with a deployment clasp.
