Multiple Materials and Dial Colors Combine to Create a Unique Timepiece
As 2024 draws to a close, ArtyA introduces a new series of chronographs in the celebrated ‘Gears’ collection, completely reimagined and made from unexpected, innovative materials. Each timepiece from this new collection is one-of-a-kind.
The company, which used to amaze horology fans with its tourbillon masterpieces, now opts for chronograph watches within the Gears collection. The collection gets its name from its skeletonized dial, which showcases the movement's gears and components. For this special series of watches, ArtyA introduces seven material options and eleven color options for the dial, all utilizing an enamel painting technique for this skeletonized design, resulting in 77 options to choose from.
The case, which is 43 mm in size, comes in multiple material options: 316L stainless steel with the option to coat it with DLC, forged carbon, Damascus steel with its wave-like patterns (a material historically prized for sword-making due to its strength and resistance to corrosion).

TiDamas (an alloy combining Grade 2 and Grade 5 titanium, celebrated for its lightness, strength, and distinctive aesthetics). Its surface displays vibrant, iridescent patterns achieved through a special thermal treatment, where the two types of titanium react differently to heat. In addition to being highly resistant to corrosion and scratching, sapphire crystal is also available. All cases offer 50 meters of water resistance.
For the dial, there are eleven color options: white, grey, yellow, blue, brown, pink, red, turquoise, orange, purple, and green. It consists of rings to create subdials, an outer ring for the minutes, applied hour indices, and a space for the ArtyA logo with “1/1” to denote its unique piece status.
The Dial is actually colored enamel, which gives it a beautiful depth and glossy sheen regardless of the chosen color. The dial also includes a date window at 3 o’clock, a 12-hour chronograph counter at 6 o’clock, small seconds at 9 o’clock, and a 30-minute chronograph counter at 12 o’clock.
Beneath the sapphire crystal case back is the skeletonized movement, an automatic movement based on the Valjoux 7750 chronograph, which was skeletonized by Concepto Watch Factory, an independent manufacture based in La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland. Concepto is known for designing and manufacturing high-end mechanical movements for renowned companies like Jacob & Co. The movement beats at 4Hz and offers a power reserve of 48 hours.
