Bvlgari & MB&F Reimagine the Iconic Serpenti

Collaborations in watchmaking often bring together the creativity of a brand and its chosen partner, whether they be artists, athletes, or designers. However, it’s far rarer to see two well-known watchmaking powerhouses join forces. The partnership between Bvlgari and MB&F is a fascinating case, as both brands serve as creative forces in the industry with anything they put their hands on.

Their latest collaboration, the Bvlgari x MB&F Serpenti, follows their 2021 partnership, which resulted in the MB&F x Bvlgari LM FlyingT Allegra launched at Dubai Watch Week. This time, the two brands reinterpret Bvlgari’s iconic Serpenti through the mechanical artistry of MB&F’s horological machines, merging biomorphic design with high-complication watchmaking in a way that only they can.

Introducing Arsène Lippens Unveils the Scheletrato In Collaboration with FAM

The brand's first skeletonized watch, designed by the Italian brand “Forget About Me”

Swiss watchmaker Arsène Lippens collaborates with the Milanese streetwear brand Forget About Me to unveil a special edition of its Scheletrato collection. This marks the brand's third collection and its first skeletonized watch, following the Numerico Collection, featuring time-only watches, and the Visionario Collection, a bi-compax chronograph. Now, they have launched the new Scheletrato collection with this exclusive timepiece.

Arsène Lippens is a rising brand that started in 2023, drawing inspiration from iconic designs. It is the brainchild of three young entrepreneurs – Dries, Alberto, and Stijn. The name of the company honors Dries’ grandfather. The idea behind Arsène Lippens was to unite a community through their watches. In fact, Arsène was conceived as a B2B brand, targeting universities, associations, clubs, and every place where people come together to share their passion.

The case of this watch is crafted from durable 316L stainless steel, polished and featuring a classic 39.5 mm diameter and a 13.5 mm thickness, including the domed sapphire glass. Its 45.5 mm lug-to-lug length ensures a comfortable fit. The elegant double-stepped bezel adds a touch of refinement, complementing the scratch-resistant, anti-reflective sapphire glass for excellent clarity and durability. The push/pull crown enhances the watch's sleek profile, making it both stylish and functional, while the pushers feature a rounded classic design known as pump pushers.

The iron-grey skeleton dial takes inspiration from Forget About Me’s signature ‘spider’ design. The chronograph hand is blue-heated, a signature element of Arsène Lippens’ design.

The dial features central hours, minutes, and chronograph seconds, with small seconds at 9 o’clock, a 30-minute counter at 12 o’clock, a 12-hour counter at 6 o’clock, and an analog calendar at 3 o’clock. For better clarity, as most of the dial is grey-toned, the chapter ring and subdial rings are coated in black, showcasing white indices to make the time display easier to read.

Powering the watch is the famous Valjoux 7750 automatic chronograph movement, which uses a cam lever system. This caliber, introduced in 1973 during the quartz crisis, has been used by many brands to this day, receiving numerous updates over the years. The version used in this watch is skeletonized, operates at 28,800 VpH (4 Hz), and offers a power reserve of 48 hours. It features a rhodium open-worked Arsène Lippens rotor, finished with satin and polished detailing. The golden-hued gears contrast beautifully with the grey tones of the other components.

The watch comes with a black Alcantara strap and is limited to just 30 pieces, priced at 3,640 CHF, which is equivalent to 14,900 AED.
