Louis Erard Collaborates with GoS on the Latest Edition of Le Régulateur

In December 2021, Louis Erard and GoS Watches were brought together by Manuel Emch, the visionary behind Louis Erard's strategic revival and creative transformation. He found a kindred spirit in Patrik Sjögren, watchmaker and founder of the Swedish atelier GoS, renowned for its mastery of Damascus steel.

Together, they envisioned a timepiece that would seamlessly blend the essence of both Maisons: the technical precision and aesthetic refinement of the Swiss Jura, married to the artistry of a Swedish forge, where Damascus steel is meticulously crafted into mesmerizing patterns through an almost alchemical process.

Introducing Guebly Unveils the CH1 Rétrograde

The young Swiss brand takes it up a notch with a retrograde seconds complication

Guebly was founded by a passionate collector and is dedicated to crafting elegant, everyday watches that seamlessly blend technical innovation with artisanal craftsmanship. Inspired by the hot desert wind, Guebly takes its name from a weather phenomenon known for its scorching breath, which makes it difficult to go out in the afternoon, encouraging you to stay with your family during these hours, and create precious memories. One year after making its debut, the independent Swiss watchmaker unveils its second timepiece: the CH1 Rétrograde.

Designed in collaboration with renowned watch designer Éric Giroud, the CH1 Rétrograde introduces a bold and refined case architecture. Made from grade 5 titanium, the 42mm case is distinguished by its 23 sculpted facets, creating a dynamic interplay of light and shadow. Measuring 10.56mm in thickness and 44.32mm lug-to-lug, the case is meticulously finished with a mix of microbead frostingperlagepolishing, emphasizing Guebly’s commitment to detail. A domed sapphire crystal with double-sided anti-reflective coating protects the dial, while a screwed-in caseback ensures 100 meters of water resistance.

The blue dial, crafted from 925 sterling silver, is a masterpiece of artisanal finishing. Entirely hand-guilloché, it features a spiral motif inspired by wind-sculpted desert dunes. At 6 o’clock, a retrograde seconds complication sweeps across a 120° arc, resetting every 30 seconds. Enhancing the dial’s artistry, a white gold retrograde appliqué with Grand Feu enamel is crafted by artisan Maëlle Constant. The grade 5 titanium hands and indices are coated with blue Super-LumiNova for optimal legibility.

Powering the watch is the Caliber 21.31, an automatic movement with a gold micro-rotor and bridges and plates crafted from grade 5 titanium. It operates at a frequency of 28,800 vph (4 Hz) and delivers a 70-hour power reserve.

The CH1 Rétrograde is paired with a blue grained calfskin leather strap featuring a blue rubber lining and a quick-release system for effortless strap changes. It also comes with a Velcro strap secured by a titanium pin buckle. Limited to just 80 pieces, and the price is available upon request.
