Liquid Crystal Display (LCD)

An LCD screen is a digital display used to show the time, functions, and other information on a watch using segmented numbers or a combination of numbers and alphabetic characters. These screens are made of liquid crystal material that alters its light-transmitting properties when an electric current is applied, resulting in the display of information.

Typically, the screen is backlit, allowing for easy readability in low-light or dark conditions. LCD screens are known for their energy efficiency, consuming lower power in general, which helps to increase the battery life of the watch.
